The Type 45 Deystroyers had to have extensive modifications to the drivetrain because the original design was incorrect.
I wouldn't trust these guys to design and build a nuclear submarine for Australia or a rowboat for that matter.
😎👎
Well.. All I can say is that when I first saw this beast of a ship(In London, Greenwhich because of the coronation, it was the D34 aka. HMS Diamond) I was like "OH MY GOSH! SUCH A BEAUTY!" Yeahh... This freakin destoyer is insane! God bless the Royal Navy and the whole British Army! Insanity guys, insanity! This ship here in the video is not a joke... :) Its a BEAST! Wonder why it is called as the "One of the best anti-air warfare ship in the world"... Just look at her. Insane!
ОтветитьAre these only for air targets or can they strike land based targets too?
ОтветитьToo cool; awesome. (that's approaching Hypersonic, 🚀too?)🙃 & talk about hull-crushing!(?) + The PHALANX C.I.W.S. ( = close-in-Weapon-System; for all y'all lames.🙄) ""🎶🎼. [du-do-du-du-do-do-du-do-du ~ U CANT TOUCH THIS!💯🎼🎶"" 😜😹 She Billy-Bad-a$$! 😎 But, is there anything wrong with her? The HMS Defender? I believe, I just ran across some (purposeful) disinformation about her condition/current state of Op. 0n Feb. 11th. Seen it On the ole' utube.. also said; that after being fired upon she was "chased from the Black Sea." 😒Which I'm not buying!😕No. Sir!!✌️
ОтветитьOnce RN always RN 😉
ОтветитьSomeone hit the “delete that object” key.
ОтветитьBut only one working?😁😁
ОтветитьI just hope and pray our royal navy has enough fire power and technology to defend itself like that of the Russian aircraft with heat seeking missiles that lock onto its targets
ОтветитьI heard it can fire rockets @ fighter here and all, but what it the jets get close to it first & fire upon it first, outmaneuvering on the sea won’t be able to help it then, what sort of countermeasures does it have against such fast jet attacks?
ОтветитьI very much doubt it would have made it out of the Black Sea alive if the Russians were intent on having a proper go, I wonder if the sailors on board her now are happy in the knowledge that their PM gave the order to provoke the Russians in order to make a ' Point '
ОтветитьMy best regards from Zaporozhye (Ukraine). Many thanks for video. HMS Defender-good luck. 🇺🇦🤝🇬🇧,🇬🇧⚓💪👍👏
ОтветитьShould have demo'd this today
ОтветитьWell bring it on Putin…see how many allies YOU have.
ОтветитьWe only have 6 ... if we’re in a major conflict and we lose a few we have next to nothing in reserve
ОтветитьHoly shit imagine 6 of these firing all those slots at once? Goodbye entire air force.
ОтветитьGod save the Queen. 🇬🇧
ОтветитьThe 2010 SDR which cancelled the project to slave the Type 45's main gun to the SAMSON RADAR was one of the biggest mistakes in history. Type 45’s missile systems can only be replenished in port and CIWS doesn’t work. In modern combat situations, a Type 45 will soon burn through her limited missile stock against nuisance drone attacks forcing her to leave the combat area and return to port – the enemy will know where she needs to go and can lay in wait with hunting subs. The ability to track and bring down moving sea-level, sea-skimming and airborne targets with the Mk8 naval gun was incredibly cost effective and would have doubled the defensive and offensive capability of Type 45 for small change. The naval gun can of course be replenished at sea. Reverse this decision NOW or do we have to wait until a Type 45 is sitting on the seabed in the Strait of Hormuz to make one of the easiest and most sensible decisions the MOD could ever make?
ОтветитьAnd this is why everyone wants good terms with the UK, cause fuck fighting against this thing or any of the others like it.
ОтветитьImagine if Britain's defence budget was 700B what could we do?
ОтветитьWhy does it not have harpoon launchers like the type 23 frigate? What weapon has replaced it?
ОтветитьGreat.. I'll take 30!
ОтветитьThe first and second "shots" are not of the same launch and the second launch looks more like the missile self-destructed in the "magazine". Smoke and debris "hit" the camera instantly, there is no rocket flame and blast to clear it away and the gray "something is on fire" smoke is significant and getting heavier as the big cloud of brown propellant smoke that should have been nothing but a quick puff and swirl like the first launch if the rocket's solid-fueled motor left the tube instead of "rupturing" and putting itself out is an indication the rocket never launched. Usually solid-fueled rockets are "ejected" out of their launch tubes far enough to at least be clearing the tube with their guidance fins before engine igition using dry nitrogen or CO2 because solid-fuel engines ignite and produce full thrust almost instantly and can create a massive pressure spike in a launch tube sufficient to "backfire" into the "nozzle" - which is just "molded" from the same "fuel" itself with the fuel fused to burn from the top/front to the bottom/back - and fracture the engine or ignite the "nozzle" causing it to burn in both directions which will also break it to pieces. High pressure around the rocket can also tip or bend the body and cause it to hang up and again spiking pressure and "blowing" the engine assembly. That kind of launch also causes major G forces and those can break the solid fuel to piecea. Those rockets or at least their engines aren't much different than fireworks rockets or Estes model rocket engines and they have a definite shelf life and are "cheap" and not made to last "forever". You service them by removing and replacing the engines and "firing" the old ones in a fixture to let them burn out safely. The "Royal Navy" is not a full-time professional blue-watet navy and tries to "save money" by minimizing its "labor" and "maintenance" and "procurement" costs and buying i "surplus" or "borrowing" and "reverse-engineering" or "repurposing" hardware wherever it can from "allies" and "scrapping" its "paid off" ships and supposedly building "new" but in reality it just "recycles" as much as possible and "rebuilds" old hulls with new "superstructure" and new names. Once or when ships are too "tired" for another "life" the Brits "sell" them to "Commonwealth partners" with a fresh coat of paint on the "newsworthy" ones and throw in the others of a "class" for "spares" or "training vessels" and "profit" from "training" the proud new "owner" and including them in "exercises" they think are "NATO" exercises and will get them Brownie points with the "Americans" when they "kill" some supposed "Red Fleet" sub or aircraft during "simulated combat" so-called "war games" on the old "cathode ray tubes" and "wireless" and to really boost their egos and "seal the deal" the Brits will tell them they detected, identified, tracked, attacked and "killed" some "American" sub or stealth aircraft.
ОтветитьWE NEED 3 MORE TYPE 45
Ответитьexpensive useless weapons. That's what they are. Can that ship handle a simultaneous attack of 100 cheap commercial drones? I don't think so
Ответить0 !
ОтветитьGod bless the queen her son and all the family 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьYour navy is far too small! Impressive as this is you Brits need about 20 of these hulls now!
Ответитьthe only problem is, Britain needs at least another 20 of those...
ОтветитьWhat's the range and what's the drone used?
Was it at a 4km range?
Well done guy's and gal's, thanks for keeping us and our allies safe. You do a grand job!
ОтветитьThat missile can beat tomahawk cruise missile..that's fast.
ОтветитьAster 15?
ОтветитьAwesome 🇬🇧
ОтветитьThis one ship could pick off the entire Argentinian air force one by one with ease from hundreds of miles away.
ОтветитьEven having read the "learn more" page, the questions I have are: What was the dummy target (drone is vague), what speed and capabilities did the target have that would give a better idea of how impressive this intercept was? I'm quite sure this missile will have no issue with a fighter aircraft, but I always remember the Sheffield, and could this system also provide a similar protection to the UK mainland as the Aegis system is intended? It does look impressive and we should be very proud of the Type 45. I am glad to see that Defender has two Phalanx CIWS onboard, because those are life saving defense systems.
ОтветитьNot exactly a spectator sport. Burst of power, a few seconds tracking and it's over.
Ответитьamazing show of power!
ОтветитьI love the Type 45s so much
