I used to trade tf2 items and the community there would ban sharks from trading (if you traded with marked people, you were also marked by the community). I don't know much about exotics as I'm not a collector and don't really plan on ever collecting (I'm broke as hell) but I do remember when 50mmidas uploaded stuff about exotics (his channel died tho sadly)

Its really true that ratters will do these things. They dont care about the amount of coins that you have, just that you have coins that they can take. Its unfortunate for the people that had exotics and were ratted not only losing their exotics, but also their entire account.
