Makes perfect sense until I try to do a problem on my own. Thank God I'm not going for a Math degree!
Ответитьwow, hours of suffering undone in a six minute video. Lifesaver dude, thank you
ОтветитьI'm struggling to understand what's the difference between those two concepts?
The probability of being an alcohol AND a man
vs
the probability of being an alcoholic given that you are a man.
I can't grasp the difference between those two things, which I think is why I am struggling in statistics right now.
Let us have a set A consisting of N random variables.
Let us have a subset B of A consisting of M random variables where 0 <= M <= N.
An experiment is performed and each random variable is given a value.
Let C be the sum of the values of the elements of B.
What is the probability that C = W, where W is some value set in advance.
Excellent video Professor, I read 10 pages of a statistics book and couldn't understand anything until I saw your video.
ОтветитьHi! In the numerator, why do we look at the probability of A and B rather than just the probability of A? I think about it this way: the probability of A given B should be the total probability of A occurring relative to the total possibility of B occurring. This is wrong, though. Why do we think about it in terms of the formula as: the probability of A and B occurring relative to that?
ОтветитьThe visual aid was very helpful❤
Ответитьhow do you use the pen to write this math stuff you write?
ОтветитьHow did you changee your cursor to be surrounded by this. yellow filled circle?
ОтветитьFinally makes perfect sense to me. Took three videos to nail the concept. This topic has really frustrated me and made me run away from probability. Now I understand what my problem was: I couldn't conceptualize the difference between probability of A and B and probability of A given B. So in my head it sounded as though A given B meant A and B.
ОтветитьThank you sir
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьDr strange
ОтветитьHow did you get the p(B) to be 50%
ОтветитьGreat explanation! Thank you so much.
ОтветитьIsn't he looking like Dr. Strange🧛♂️. 😂
Ответитьso is the conditional probability a form of dependent events?
ОтветитьWhat is the best tool to graph Venn-diagrams based on data? (So The Smart-Art-feature of Excel does not count)
ОтветитьOne shot, two shot, three shot, floor. Fuck this math homework.
Ответитьtbh learning is just about knowing what we are doing.. then you are be able to do it
ОтветитьQuestion! Does A have to be a specific thing or does it not matter. Like is A and B interchangeable?
Ответитьयह भाषा मेरे लिए समझने में बहुत कठिन है, कृपया हिंदी में समझाएं
ОтветитьThis sounds Greek to me. Kripya karke Hindi me anuvaad dijiye
ОтветитьStats makes me want to become an alcoholic.
ОтветитьBrave of you in these days to assume P(being a man) =1/2 😅
ОтветитьPewdiepie ??
ОтветитьThank you so much
ОтветитьThank you for translation to arabic ❤
ОтветитьHi! Do you have a playlist of lectures on probability and statistics?
ОтветитьI am confused about 1) the origin of the given percentage. is that a random number given by the questioner or is that result of another calculation? 2) Based on this data. I assume Given you are alcoholic what is the percentage of probability you are male would give a different answer. Why would that be the a different number Pecentage of males is the same and percentage of males that are alcoholic is the same
Ответитьin this era it's hard to assume that there are two genders :) so you should have devided by 20 maybe !!!
ОтветитьWhere'd you get 0.5? I need an explanation
Ответитьpark next to me if you're also part of the 2.25%
ОтветитьPeople like you should teach math is schools, so that kids would love maths
Ответитьthank god you have videos on probability.
Why can't all prof be like you?
Thanks man, you made that easy..
ОтветитьThank you! You are a life saver ❤
ОтветитьThank you so much for this Dr. Bazett!
ОтветитьThanks Doctor Strange
Ответитьthank you soo much...i literally love u😍🥰
Ответить🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьCan you work statistics question Dr please
ОтветитьThis video is a subtle way the KKK and the Leftist mob tells me that you either comply or they fuck you over. They want to be able to tell a story and promote their agenda, or they will continue ruining your life.
ОтветитьPerson A goes to the mall 624 times. These times are on Tuesday AND Wednesday. Only 2% of all the times it is on Friday.
Person B goes to that mall on Monday, Wednesday OR Saturday. Only 20% of the times person B goes to the mall, it is on a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday. This person goes to the mall 2 times a week RANDOM on these days.
What is the chance these 2persons meet eachother at the mall?
The interesting way is, how de F do you get the intersect becaus it can be calculated in two ways. Evrey where i search i see two ways of getting the intersect
ОтветитьImpressive video Dr.Bazett
ОтветитьA great explanation of conditional probability, the Venn diagram really made it make sense, but the worked example is wrong. I'm no statistician, but I believe you overestimate the intersection by a factor of 2 (1/P(male)), or misrepresent the total sample space size. Let's change to a slightly different example, but the same working as you to show that you are wrong by reductio absurdum. Say 60% of males are tennis players. What is the probability of being a tennis player given you are a man? According to your worked example, it would be 0.6/0.5=1.2; ie a nonsensical probability of >1. The intersection of alcoholic and male should be 0.01125 if one sampled from a population of 50% male and female with apologies to the non-binary population. I think, anyway. If I am wrong, I'll humbly learn from your correction of my error.
