people, food, culture get spread around in the early days as migrant families shift or settled dpwn etc, so how to draw the line? and in any case, SG is a multicultural place like Msia, dont need a "national" dish....which doesnt really exist in my opinion.....other than chili crab which is aimed more at tourists instead
ОтветитьSiot punye Singapore, merdeka pon dari malaysia 😂😂😂 ni sume Lee Kuan yuu punye pasal
ОтветитьSo what if the coconut rice in Singapore is better thanks to the sole blend from the Coconut Club. The dishes you're pairing with is still processed food. Ming's biased presentation really just makes this almost like Singaporean propaganda. Just find a dish that's more uniquely and culturally created to Singapore, don't force, steal, take claim to your ideals.
ОтветитьI admit Msia nasi lemak is better than Spore nasi lemak..
But Spore have awesome nasi rawon and nasi jerganan and CHICKEN RICE!!!!👨🏽🍳🧑🏽🍳👩🏻🍳
Dear CNA and chef Ming, i consider you should extend your research more deeper. Because there is Nasi Lamak or Nasi Gemuk in the East Coast Sumatra. And it's signature dish there.
ОтветитьI am as a Malay Jambinese, an ethnic in Jambi Province in Sumatera we also have the similar dish called Nasi Gemuk. its really the same condiment with nasi lemak from Malaysia as we share the same Malay culture in Jambi Province.
ОтветитьWho cares where it was originally made? It goes in and comes out the same way no matter where you eat it.
ОтветитьProcessed food versus hard work. The man is brutal
Ответитьi like this cna content
ОтветитьThere is once a people who called Uncle Roger said before the only good food in Singapore is Chicken Rice.
ОтветитьI think I am the only one who dislikes nasi lemak (and nasi kandar). It's just okay. I'm Malaysian btw.
ОтветитьNasi lemak original from Sumatera Indonesia !!!
ОтветитьMana ikan bilisnye?😅
ОтветитьStop fighting… it’s from indonesia
ОтветитьAs an Indonesian, I'd say nasi lemak will be more logically originated from semenanjung (melaka and, or, its surrounding). Nasi uduk and nasi lemak, I see the small similarity but they completely have different origins.
ОтветитьIf we trace it further, the history of nasi liwet/ nasi gurih(rice with coconut milk) has existed in Central Java since ancient times. Nasi liwet from Central Java (Solo) is the simplest food menu, then carried over to Jakarta (Betawi) with more complex spice components but also with a combination of simple side dishes, in accordance with the characteristics of the Betawi region. Then Nasi Liwet/Nasi Gurih/Nasi Uduk was brought to Malaysia, with a very similar resemblance to Nasi Uduk.
This was explained by Hedi Hinzler, an expert on ancient Java from Leiden University in Anthropology
Nusantara Culinary (2014), that Javanese inscriptions in the 9th century recorded the existence of
food at parties and ceremonies attended by officials or religious leaders. On that occasion the king
can allow the audience to eat the dish, which is called rajamangsa. The difference is, on
In ancient Java, commoners were only allowed to watch
Unfortunately the inscription does not explain in detail what types of food there are.😭😭😭🥲
to ALL MALAYSIAN.. and now you knew what we Indonesian felt when indonesia's tradition, heritage, culture etc were claimed and it was titled as YOURS... not to mention Balinese Tari Pendet was labelled as Malaysian traditional dance back in years ago when it was broadcasted on your tourism promotion advertisement.. should i say anotjer examples like Batik, Rendang, Kuda Kepang, Reog Ponorogo, Rasa Sayange etc... and now I believed Nasi Lemak is belong to Singapore..
ОтветитьIndonesia also have but they call the name differently
ОтветитьBecareful yang malays statement about food. Stolen from others and claim is them create it . Malays mostly from Indonesia and bring over their heritage in Malaysia. Javanese change their heritage to Malays. Melaka residents originally from ? Java. I believe nasi lemak is influenced by Indonesia…
