Keeping in mind AI will handle even editing sequences in future. The days of spending hours at an edit station might be gone soon.

ОтветитьOne technic is split screen editing where you see two different shots at the same time.

ОтветитьZodiac, No Country For Old Men or There Will Be Blood film editing?
ОтветитьJohnny English is a brilliant example of Bad Editing. Or rather... wrong genre editing.
There are many funny jokes and comedy moments from Rowan Atkinson in the movie but instead of giving the audience time to linger and 'get the joke' there is an immediate 'Cutaway' to the next action sequence. And it destroys all the humour.
In other words - they have EDITED for an Action James Bond Movie when it should be EDITED for a Comedy Movie.
Imagine unironically quoting Matrix 4. What next? The room?
ОтветитьI am learning a lot of great ideas and information about filming
ОтветитьI like the cuts created in filming the intro section about creative uses of cuts here. Good examples, perfect beats and clean, delicious cuts. Nice!
ОтветитьI must keep trying and practising the ‘eye trace’ technique. Very few people talking about that.
Ответитьrule of 6 never heard of that b4, but i'm no film editor
ОтветитьThis is the master class

ОтветитьIm about to use my new found powers to level up my nonsense on my channel. Muhahahahaha, also, thank you for your time and effort on these videos!
ОтветитьI love movies📽🎬🎞🎥I happened to stumble upon this video because I typed in film editing. I love the simplicity and clarity of this video. Thank you, now I'm a new subscriber to @StudioBinder.
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьI just watched the trailer for Sisu and I am not going to watch the movie. Instead, I’m going to make a better movie.
ОтветитьShukran ( thank you ) the content is easy to understand
ОтветитьKeanu going through his clips like us plebeians
ОтветитьVery nice video! Thank you
ОтветитьAs always, another great video from StudioBinder!!! The only thing I am not sure about is that I always though that J cuts and L cuts are called like this because of the JKL buttons that work pretty much in every editing application. J is for reverse (so you move the audio backwards) and L is for forward (so you move the audio forward).
ОтветитьOne of the more critical posts. Well done, as always. :D
ОтветитьOh my god, this is such an amazing channel for all filmmakers!! Thank you very much for all videos!
ОтветитьThe editing of Star Wars and The Hunger Games are completely different, but I love both. There is no need to show so much blood and gore in your videos. And again: where are the women directors??
Ответитьvery informative and well edited, thank you!
ОтветитьWoow
ОтветитьAfter watching countless videos that show J-cuts and L-cuts, I now finally understand why they are called that. I love watching your videos!
ОтветитьWhy did I find this vid too late. Watching this made me find what I could have made in our small project better. This vid is really educational and helpful
ОтветитьHUGE thank you to you, studiobinder! I go to an arts school and in it I am taking a film class, but I don’t understand what my teacher is trying to teach us so I thought I would just learn on my own and it was really hard until I found your videos! I’ve seen so many already, and it’s made a huge difference. An upcoming project is writing, casting, filming and editing our own movies all on our own and I think I am going to crush it 💪
ОтветитьPlease don't stop making these videos, u might be know how much it help us.
Thank u so much 💓
Make it downloadable please
ОтветитьFantastic video! Great work demonstrating the cuts and providing a view of the timeline to see how it's actually done.
ОтветитьFor someone that look that distressed about everyone on earth dying that chick sure must had spent so much effort into dressing herself up that it's laughable.
ОтветитьThose cut aways in Lucy were the dumbest thing I've ever seen in a film. God forbid believing in your audience to figure out the obvious subtext so they jarringly disrupt the film to remove the subtext and literally point their finger at it.
ОтветитьAnother awesome video. I feel the cut on action during prolonged fight scenes are imo the worst standardised hollywood editing there is. When its overdone. Which it usually is.
