Why the heck would i wanna suck all the fun out of the game by min maxing is the real question

Sorry for being a noob, but is there anyway to farm a bit in normal mode in chapter 14? I just want to be a bit more OP. Fair enough if there isn’t, just thought you guys might know a good place.

All enemy skill can be obtained from both battle arena and vr arena- phantom, smogger & last boss from legends in vr missions
Drake is found at colosseum 2 player battle for all 4 skills needed

AP up only counts for the materia it's linked to, via materia slots, not all party members and all materia. It says so in it's description.

While these are good places to farm gil, exp, and ap, chapter 16 garage section makes this look cute as a grinding spot. Grinded there for 30 mins and got everyone from lvl 40 to lvl 50

I spend more time setting the party's weapon and materia than doing this grinding. :(
So many materia combination and the choice becomes overwhelming when playing with 3 characters!

To be honest only 50 lvls made it too easy in my opinion. But that's fine cause I hate excessive grinding. I was about lvl 19 to 21 when I reached chapter 9. A few rounds in the Colosseum will easily take you to 28-31.
By the time you come back with Tifa And Barret another few rounds will get you to 40. Then start the latter chapters of the game and I was at lvl 50 by the time I was in the last chapter.

I don't understand why some of you are even having to discuss this. My characters, weapons and materia were maxed out before the end game because if I did miss anything it wasn't going to be the basics. Noobs.

The experiments in Hojo's lab respawn indefinitely, so if you optimize equipment for those enemies, it's quite a good spot

Belly of the beast is a better why I personally think, sadly you have to skip 3 cutscenes and reload but you get to take a third character with all them slots to level Materia, load the chapter, skip cutscenes, run down grab the two items from the chests runs down, skip cutscenes encounter x3 (it’s 6 packs but it’s treated as 3 fights) pick up the Molotov cocktail and mega potion from chests get to the shinra building and start over, between triple slash and fire3 magnified it takes me about about 1 maybe 1 and a half minutes on easy from the start of fighting till reload (I wish you could skip right to the fighting as the running down bit is really just an interactive cutscenes) you get about 10k Gil a run and a good chunk of AP I was already 50 when I finished the game so I can’t say how much EXP you get but ied guess it’s also a good amount.

ap is 279 normal and 558 with the AP up, run time from reload to reload is 4 minutes 48 seconds with me messing about with breakable boxes and having some really bad rng were everything spread out so tripal slash and firaga all missed some and i had to run to them.

Is it adviseble to get to lvl 50 before doing Hard Mode ?

If you’re like me and you suffer from one-punch-man syndrome, farming for XP and other points ruins games. I hate being so OP that battles lose their challenge. I love the struggle of barely beating a boss with only a few HP left.

I just did the beginning of chapter 16 over and over (the garage under the Shinra headquarters). You get tons of money and AP (around 280 per run through). I could easily do it in 8 min, but I also decided to steal from the special forces enemies down there as they have turbo ethers, one of a handful of enemies that do, and it added roughly 4 min per run. Did that 30-40 times and maxed out all my Materia, as well as maxing out my turbo ethers at the exact same time.

I use the beam slash ability on the first wave of max mons and that usually clears out all of them in one shot

Isn’t it strange that there’s an extra empty space in everyone’s weapons menu? I hope they release DLC and give us a new Weapon for each character.

Which chapter do you do to get Aerith on your team for VR? Do you have to do the whole hojo arc again and back track back down stairs after you rescue her?

Just say beat the game. Then you can actually play the game......and RPGs with chapter selection......isn't and rpg

I don't play, but when part 2 releases I hope you guys are able to import your character progress (money, items, materia, etc). It would really suck to find out that when part 2 begins your party had been robbed of all belongings and reset back to noob status like Ash at the beginning of every pokemon series.

You get double exp and triple AP after you beat the game. This game makes it very easy to max out stuff. It eliminates most grinding, and streamlines everything.

So what about people like me who want to max and level all before I finish the game???

I found the best place to farm EXP was in in chapter 9 in the Colusseum - Two-Person Team vs Slum Outlaws. The Huntsman gives like 750 Exp each kill and he appears twice. I thought this was a bug since it was so much higher than anything else in the arena. I farmed this for a couple hours and by the time I left I had Cloud and Aerith level capped and a lot of my materia Maxxed.

There's a infinite item exploit involving one of the vaults that gives you a couple of Moogle Medals and various items. It's a Save and Load job as long as you don't leave the vault in the Northeastern vault, it respawns all the items and Moogle medals for quick items for use or sell.

Best way to enjoy the game by level grinding like the original is to start a file on normal. Clear an area youd like to grind, save, then load the manual save. Monsters and boxes will respawn. Good classic way of farming exp and ap. I did it as early as chapter 3 with tifa AFTER completing the first quest from biggs and wedge.

I’m stuck on Three-Person vs Monsters of Legend, Hard Mode. Behemoth-0 takes my team out most of the time. Anyone got a good equipment/materia set up to destroy it?

After many tries I finally beat the monsters of legends and got bad breath also now onto the last battle

Bit of a dispointment this game it's only 15 percent of the actual game!! Waste of 60 dollars if you ask me I completed the whole game and all 24 side quests in 23 hours

Is it possible to do a character build video ? Like best accessories and Materia for that specific character

All materia maxed, except a few 4/5 hp & mp ups. Tackling hard story mode for some manuscripts to beef up some weapons before trying to tackle the 6 & 7 star battles to get the goddamnring, then finish hard mode story with that.

But with only 2 members in the battle, u can't really maximize AP gain as the materia equipped in ur 3rd character won't gain the AP.

That was a great tip for farming AP. I was able to get my last elemental materia up to par. I was finally able to get past Bahamut and take down Pride and Joy.

This is cool but when we get the next part of the game will we be able to start it with whatever materia and level we were able to farm up to?

Dont miss the pedometer materia at Aeriths house take 5000 steps and it transforms into ap+materia

This is a question about ac origins how do u get the Anubis outfit cause I beat all 3 different trial of the gods and replayed a sekmet a week later but got The Sekhem (scepter).

Unlike every other final fantasy game, I really don’t see a point in farming for any of this stuff in ff7 remake. You can literally progress through the story on normal and hard difficulty without ever grinding and still max out on all the items, ap, and exp you’ll ever need

The best farm spot, after you reach Hard Mode. Is to jump back to Chapter 17 [Hard Mode] and access the advance Shinra Combat Simulator Beta v3.1.6. The Battle Challenge you want to do is "Three-Person Team vs Mayor Is Best" set to Easy Mode. Equip Aerith with 2x Magic Up 5★, First Strike 3★, Thunder 3★ + Magnify 3★. Equip her with Mythril Rod + Accessory that offer +10% M.ATK. Set Quick Combat shortcut for Aerith to use Magnified Thunaga. Such as hold L1+X to cast it without going through the menu. Enter combat with her as Leader.


Now equip Cloud/Tifa with the materia you want to level up. If Aerith have spare slots, equip those materia on her as well that you want to level up.


If you have a fully max'ed out Aerith in M.ATK, around 500+, she can 1 shot the Cutters. If you can't 1 shot them, usually a few more basic attacks would finish them off. Ending the battle in 3 to 8 seconds (if you 1 shot them) up to 20secs if you still have to continue with basic attacks. This allows you to earn 90AP to 120AP per minute, if you're quick. For some materia that requires a lot of AP exp, like the Element Materia, use Ap Up on it. You can earn 7500 in under 32 minutes with AP Up.

If you obtain only 189 AP in 58 seconds with only two char in the team then the Combat Simulator challenge in the video is quite SLOW. The best challenge to farm for me is 3 person vs Shinra Warrriors in chapter 14 where you can clear the challenge in 10-20 seconds each and get 55 AP BEFORE completing the story. Just need to use Magnify Fira and Triple Slash to one shot everyone in easy mode. I just finished the game hours ago so i will test and update if it gives triple AP which shoud be 165 AP and you have THREE people in the team so you can equip MORE MATERIAS to level up at once (non-participant in the battle only get 80% of the earned EXP and get ZERO AP earned). 165 AP in 10-20 seconds (I get 15 sec most of the time) is way faster than 189 AP in 58 seconds shown in the video and you have THREE people compared to TWO.

One of corneo coliseum fights you can do in 24 seconds by prioritizing clouds triple slash. I was getting around 230-240 ap for the ap up linked materia. Made the 5k grind easy.

Question... Could you use the extra Gil materia to earn extra Gil when completing the challenge? Like if you get 2000 Gil would it be 4000 instead? Great vid btw

Have you tried Chapter 16 Garage section > chapter select and repeat?
Just boost Cloud with all Magic+ you can get First strike MAgnify=Fire and clear it in ~2mins
