this will help me a lot, i was exporting to a much lower ratio, so my file size was lower, i cant wait to see how this looks with the quality turned up.

I can’t change the resolution on mine to 3840 x 2860
It will only let me have the exact same number in both boxes, when I type 2160 in the second box, it changes it all to 2160 x 2160. This app is just problem after problem 😢

Hi Danny thx for a interesting video. Now I’m still trying to decide between the X3 & 1” because of the quality difference but I’m now starting to think that a lot of the YT videos from the X3 has been poorly edited and not exported in the highest biggest file quality and that’s probably because most edits has been done on a phone or that users don’t have pro video editing programs and then still choose lower quality exports. But my question as I’m still a beginner at this is if the biggest file you can upload to YT is 256GB how long a video would that be and how long for the next best quality and I assume the best quality would be 4K. Could you please break this down for me and explain it a bit thx ps do you have a video comparisons to look at with different exported quality settings that would be awesome to watch and I’m sure a lot of people could learn from it and then make better videos to.

so the top video quality you can get from shooting 360 and exporting to regular 16/9 video is 2k? 4k is just upscaling?

Hi, but for edit 360video you need a very strong pc RAM and files are very large for export in 4K 200 bitrate true? How many GB has 1 hour or 10 minutes of video like this? Thank you.

why do u set the bitrate on the export to 200? seems like massive overkill.... ??

I'm confused about the encoding format. If you are exporting to final cut, do you always use H 264?

Pro Tip I thought I’d add - Because any direction you reframe to is more like 1080p from a 5.7k sphere I prefer to export my reframed videos from phone or desktop in 1080p. THEN, run them through Topaz Video to upscale them to 4k. Doesn’t work as well if you export in 1440p I feel, but you can do as you wish. This has been my go-to trick for UHD reframed Insta360 videos for 2 years now.

Just posted my first insta x3 amd im still learning . I used Adobe premiere with the go pro reframe . It came out nice but it seems like the insta software is a lot easier ! I wonder if Adobe premiere can export 360 if it has that feature? Mine was exported flat

I would prefer to export all 9 bracketed photo's from my camera to iPad Pro Affinity Photo, besides manually taking the 9 shots is there a way to get the files stitched from the memory card on an iPad Pro or get the nine brackets HDR photo's to the iPad?

You can also export the video as 265 codec and it will typically encode the video faster, considerably faster. Most video editing tools work with 265 too.

Does it really help to put the "Bitrate" to max?
The reason I ask you is because we time after time hear people say that it does NOT help anything to put the Bitrate to max when it comes to video quality.
It only makes the file size bigger.
What do you have to say about that? 😀

You probably also have to have a very powerful phone to even get those options. On my phones (a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus and S10 Plus), there is no Snap Wizard in the Insta360 app. And there is no option to choose between exporting to the phone or creating a story and exporting at 1440p.
