Thanks so much for your thorough explanations along with the visual. I think I can do this…. Hahaha (w/ some help).
ОтветитьWhen I installed j channel or my starter, will I drill drainage holes? If so how far apart , thanks for info, my wall was lower too.
ОтветитьReason why you installed j channel instead of the normal starter strip pls
ОтветитьIt is curious to me how water would not build up in the bottom J channel. Why no starter strip? I am so confused, Shannon.
ОтветитьWhy did you choose the J channel instead of the starter strip at the wall base? My house is installed like that too. Would it hold rainwater in?
ОтветитьNicely done. Great Info.
ОтветитьFantastic video, very clear and helpful.
ОтветитьThank you. I have watched many videos. Your advice is great. I have learned a lot from you.
ОтветитьDid you order this siding from home hardware?
ОтветитьNo J around the dryer vent?
ОтветитьHi. I'm back to listen to more of your exceptional teaching. I'm watching you from southern California.
Ответить11 years and this video still useful. A big shot out to this great teacher
ОтветитьThat $15 notch tool is now $50 at least 11 years later fyi
Ответитьthank you. your video was the best. i loved your 45's
ОтветитьYou saved me $9000.00 Thank you
Ответитьwhen you start your first row you put a 1/4 peace behind your first one, do you do that on both sides?
ОтветитьThis was a great video. My siding is messed up from the people who installed it, wavy everywhere, parts falling off. Was good to see there are people out there that know what they are doing, just watching this helped me realize where they messed up on my house.
ОтветитьJust dropped in to watch and see if I could find out why the guys installing siding on the side of my apartment building are hammering the walls so hard my picture frames are going crooked. No answers here. Haha.
ОтветитьGood video thanks
Ответитьvery good teacher , and he takes the time to help people understand , thank you so much God Bless you
ОтветитьI regret that I am limited to only one up vote. Thank you.
ОтветитьWhat about the insulation and the water proofing
ОтветитьLove the clear and well explained instructions, and the Hockey Canada cap!
ОтветитьI'm doing a shed do I really need joints or just put the full peices in? It's 8 x 10?
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your knowledge. I really appreciate it!!!
ОтветитьHow in the world did you score a straight-line free hand like that with the breakaway blade?
ОтветитьI've never installed this stuff before I'm actually doing a patch from a repair otherwise I wouldn't do it at all I personally think this stuff's garbage I would much rather use HardieBacker siding. I noticed when I pulled down the soffit that it was full of wasp nest and I couldn't figure out how they got up in there until I seen you spend that one piece up around the edge and then the other one's going to dive into it and there's a gap there not much of one but big enough for a b ee
ОтветитьHow to install drip on windows and doors
ОтветитьThanks for sharing I've learned a lot sir I do diy on my siding
ОтветитьHello. Wonderful videos. Thankful for the content. If I may ask, how would you install vinyl siding around a “through the wall” air conditioner? In my case the wall it is through has no gables, just a small drip edge sticking out from the roof, about 1 ft above it. So no “covering” above the sleeve. I have 2 photos I can provide for clarity.
Thank you for your time.
Great work! You explained everything very well. I have a really hard time with measurements and stuff. Not that I don’t know how to read a tape measure, it’s just when a project requires a-lot of measurements and numbers I just get flustered and my brain just seems to shut off.
Ответитьwhy do you use j channel instead of starter strip ?
ОтветитьExcellent...
ОтветитьYou are the best
Ответитьso nice
ОтветитьYou answered my question in the video. Thanks brother you are a great teacher
ОтветитьHi Shanon how are you? If I cannot use a starter strip, because in order to match the same existing siding elevation line, I will have to trim one of the siding, what do I start with?
Ответитьwonderful instruction! Well done....
ОтветитьDefinitely worth buying the tool mentioned at the end of the video. I bought one today at my local Rona in Moose Jaw SK for 26 bucks. With the prices of glues and silicone being so high it only takes a few caulking tubes full to get to $26. Great video Shannon!
ОтветитьYour videos are the best!
ОтветитьGreat teacher!
ОтветитьThankyou , thiswas very helpful
ОтветитьThank you for sharing, Bro. congratulations on your nearly 3M views, your very good on your Trade.
ОтветитьThis was great!
ОтветитьA real guy with true talent in his way of teaching. I will save this video for my future project. Thanks and God bless you.
ОтветитьVery nice. Several points that I have explained to others, and some just don't understand.
