Hi, If you still not been able to get the Play store working the try the steps below.
Please reset (Factory Reset) or follow the steps
>Settings
>additional Settings
>Backup & Reset
>Factory Data Reset
>Reset Phone (A small icon at the Bottom)
wait it to reboot & it will work like a charm.

Hey i cant get google play store to work on my mi 5 Miui 8.2 stable on my CN rom i have the latest 7.0 Nougat update i had the phone since mid 2016 i had google play for 8 months but i factory rested my phone few days ago now i cant get google play store to work when i click on it it give me the google play checking info... any fix's for this i tried to downgrade to miui V8.1.6.0 without root but it keeps giving me a error saying can't verify update "sorry, flash older versions not allowed" please help me i cant use my phone without my google play service i been using the Miui app for 2 weeks and its so annoying i cant log in to my Snapchat without google play service and i cant play alot of games without google play service's but i don't really wanna root my phone just yet this my daily driver please replay as soon as possible.
