Dubai, being the business / touristic hub of the middle east needs to be in the limelight whethet we like it or not, what economic options can give besides oil. They have no choice.

Thank you, Loy, I just finished a self-sponsored visa call now to avoid tax from trading income and now I saw this video I will have to look at other options

When I heard UAE was going to be the next Europe, I never thought it was through tax 😆😆😆😆

This was inevitable, first came VAT at 5%, then corporate tax at 9%, and now possibly an income tax. Slippery slope. UAE will lose a lot of millionaires who were looking to put their money in UAE, if income tax arrives there will be no reason anymore. Those who made their money through illegal or shady means will accept it due to UAE not asking where it came from but legitimate individuals with 7 to 8 figure incomes will go places like Singapore or Malaysia.

UAE is under the control of the Zionists, further taxes will be rolled out. The problem is, the real honest money investors will go elsewhere. North Africa, Persian Gulf, Russia will be the beneficiaries

Loy, you videos are equal to a newscast. I love them. They have a "feel good" factor.
Now to this topic. Personal Income tax of 10% is nothing. But i hope that the personal income tax will apply to people earning above a certain amount. It wouldn't be fair to tax those construction labourers earning AED2500 per month. All that being said, in South Africa i pay 45% personal income tax. also if you earn below ZAR350 000 here, you don't pay income tax

In Saudi Arabia 20% of Net Profit Adjusted as Tax since some time now + 2.5% Zakat for corporates. Expats pay Family Dependent Tax of 4800 per person annually, 15% Vat on everything and customs are variable between 5% -15% on goods being imported - population influx currently have with rental increase specially in Riyadh between 10-14% already estimated to increase further. Comparing to UAE personal Standard of living is much higher with the new developments if one chooses to.

I spoke to a few people in the UAE all of who said they would get the hell out of that third-world shithole IF it was easy to migrate here to the EU or the UK/USA.

Truth is NO ONE is in the UAE by choice there only there because they can't go anywhere else;who wants to live where there is no personal or intellectual freedom and a society that's hell bent to criminalise and rob you blind?

Once income tax is introduced it'll accelerate their departure faster than you can say "Jack Robinson".

@Loy the problem is not about taxes and fines. These people are heartless zero empathy to give back to expats. Allowances, PR, and things that keep the expat population steady and stable.
This is how countries in Europe progress.

Shk Moh has fear of losing power ever since he witnessed how his father was generous and had some smart asses around him as advisers.
The person who fears losing is not strong and brave. Anyone can build a city like Dubai if there is no one to question the authority 😅😅😅 but only dumb expats who have just opened their eyes from the wombs of a sleeping land will have a jaw dropping look...esp the southies 😂

I won't mind taxing people with 6 figures. But taxing the middle class with 5 figures is a bad idea. The cost of living is already shooting to the rough I don't understand why we need income tax here. People are already spending thousands on restaurants, coffee shops and cinemas in the Malls. It will mostly benefit the gov from shops and businesses directly and indirectly.

You can’t tax those who earns the 5000 dirhams and look at one dirham as it was 1 USD. Tax should apply to those who ears the 5000 USD in there. There are always two worlds in Dubai (Singapore, Malaysia is the same) the 1 USD people and the 1 Dirham people.
