Hello Mercedianers. Sadly, this generation of Mercedes cars tend to rust even at young age, due to production problems with the coating. So the most of them are already gone. Otherwise they might be propper cars in today too.

Hallo, ich wusste garnicht dass Günter Jauch damals Designer bei Mercedes war. Heute hätte das Design vielleicht den Geschmack getroffen,
damals wars eher ein Reinfall. Allerdings war der E38 bei BMW Nachfolger die grössere Blamage. Alles Gute.

Took ownership of a W220 from 2005 over 2 years ago and even as it aproches 20 years old its still the best car Ive ever driven, hands
down.

Reality is the early W220 was the biggest piece of shit ever made

A real kings car.

I owned a new W220 between 2001 and 2005. it was a comfortable and very capable machine, but developed rust in the first 18 months and spent months off the road at the time due to a combination of factory parts delays and technician unfamiliarity. It also depreciated like a boulder dropped from a plane and had so many silly niggily faults that were inexcusable even at the time.

When I traded it in, I went into a Lexus, and I still drive them now.

its funny that you can buy this car for about 5000 euros. Its basically the worst s class made. Still a great car dont get me wrong.
