Astra 3.0 - Header Footer Builder Walkthrough

Can we add more than 3 elements (rows) im footer?

You're working off a page that has already been created. Try this with a blank footer. It's awful... it was so easy before. Who changed this? Ugh

I don't like the way this was changed. It was so easy a few years ago. Now I am helping someone and everything changed but not for the better imo. It's over the top. Too much going on in the footer which gives us too much work to do

I am assuming this is a paid feature - would be good to clarify this

I can see a transparent type header there I can make changes in colors. But where to make changes to normal header colors? I can't find the normal header type. Please help me.

you didn't tell how to add elements in footer and what you chose

I cannot find the option to change the link color in the footer which was available in the old footer builder. In the header builder it is added. I want to customize it instead of using the default link color of the theme. Thanks in advance for your reply.

It does a lot of things except changing the Font Size... I haven't found a way to do that.

How can I just disable this terrible builder so it is not used at all? It used to be pretty easy to use, but this new one is a disaster, I'd rather let Elementor handle it.

I cannot find the header and footer builder on my Astra theme. Even after going to Astra options.

I can not figure out this numbering of Widgets 1-4. Why do they have numbers instead of that widget's name (use) as a label? It seems Widget 1 is the Image Widget. Why don't you call it "Image" instead of Widget 1. There has to be a reason for doing this but I sure can't figure it out!!!

This is an excellent, helpful totorial. But for a guy to learn WordPress what it the best source? It's a trainwreck trying to learn it. I don't care if I have to pay for a Udemy Course, a book, anything?!?!?!?!? How can a guy learn WordPress? I've been trying. I have studied YT videos from "WP Beginner" and "Build a Pro Website" and I always end up at a standstill. going through I end up with my site no longer matches what the instructor is doing and I'm lost. Thanks for the video. I have both Astra Pro and Elementor Pro. There seems to be an over abundance of options in creating headers & footers. If I am already using the Astra Pro custom layouts for headers & footers with the Elementor page builder, are there any reasons to switch to the new Astra header/footer builder? It appears that the Astra Pro custom layouts still offers more options. Is the Astra header/footer builder focused more to those who are using the free version?

I would love to know how to change the color and also how to insert an image there to replace the dark background. I tried to edit with Elementor but it does not show as an element when I tried. The newest version allows you to specify number of columns in the 3 rows of Header/Footer builder and gives you options to change the width of each! Astra version 3.4.7. You can choose from 1 to 6 columns!

Hi Team,
When I create a new page, Astra automatically adds as a primary menu. How to I avoid that?? How to choose the menu I want Astra to use while creating the page??
Alternatively, is there a way to migrate some of my Primary menu to Secondary menu?? TIA

Despite the fact that the most users access sites, blogs and ecommerce from mobile, the development teaching is made on desktop. It is a little bit harder to make all this features works friendlily in mobile as in desktop. But, thanks. Great class.

Please, tell if is it possible to stick/fix the cart in some place at all (header is better) in mobile?

I found a bug I do not know why it is happening. For my mobile menu it is showing entirely different items, and strangely I do not have any such menu created.

Great tutorial and explanation. I don't think Astra has quite finished creating the is module as there seems to be a few issues with widgets performing differently in different columns. but just teething problems I'm sure as Astra is my favourite.

The new astra Header Builder seems to break the Astra Pro feature sticky header "shrinking effect". It no longer shrink or animates. When I switched back to old style, everything works again. Could you guys provide a quick work-around?

Why cant we change th toggle menu colour for sticky header in mobile. Seems you can only have one colour for the toggle menu?

Awesome video. Appreciate all that great information. I was wondering if you knew if it is possible to put a logo in the footer section of the free Astra version? I see in your video that you have managed to do so, but I have struggled...

And now, how is the upper or lower section of the main header hidden? The problem is that with this new version it is not possible to hide those 2 sections on a single page, they only appear to hide the main header. The problem is that those sections keep showing up and I have no idea how to hide them. In the previous version there were options where you could hide the lower or upper section of the main header and now you can't.

Absolutely love this but how do you adjust the breakpoints. Was easy on the previous method.
