I have a python and I can’t get it to work with out using the tap I mean I can get started but the flow is small because needs to go back up for the shower
ОтветитьWhen u use the vacuum do u use the tap for this job only
ОтветитьWhere can I get fake rock decore like this that’s light
ОтветитьMaybe take this video down because of removing the decor? Since good bacteria is on those areas, dont you want to leave them there undisturbed?
ОтветитьYou rock man! Thanks for the videos. I’m a beginner, we got advice at petco for my daughters new Tetra hifins. Well unfortunately after about 3 hours, our hifins went to fish heaven. We were completely unaware of the nitrogen cycle and, while we waited 3 hours to introduce the fish, added the dechlor and also made sure the water temp was exactly 78, within a couple hours they were gulping air at the surface. My plan now is to introduce some good bacteria and some live plants and the continue to check the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels for the next couple weeks. After that we will go back and get some new fishies. Wish we would have found your videos sooner!
ОтветитьWhat kind and brand of substrate you are using. Thanks
ОтветитьIs that a 75?
ОтветитьSuper Nice denmark
ОтветитьA few questions..
Why disturb the system for a water change?
Why disturb yank out a perfectly working filter?
Why upset the fish because a few specs of detritus floated past the camera?
Why water change?
That should keep ya busy.
Thanks 👍
So I am a 2nd time tank owner. Had 7 or 8 tanks 20 years ago. Fast forward, I have a 55 with Haps and Peacocks. Overstocked at 15 and a plexo. My question is that, I fill off a well. The faucet I use is before going through the softener. Property is all sand, I set my tank up and cycled for 2 weeks, then added starter and cycled 2 more weeks. Just added fish 18 hours ago. Going through the bloom cloud now. Testing all the way through, straight out of the ground the water is inside cichlids parameters. Since no chlorine or chemicals, do you think that I need to add any chemicals to my water change, when the time comes? I really like and appreciate the way you share your knowledge. Thanks for any ideas you have.
ОтветитьNice vid. My tank is slightly smaller than yours. I just bought suction, water conditioner, and bacteria booster. I'm going to be doing this for the next 4 hours 😂
Subscribed. I need to buy the other two treatment solutions you have. Plz don't stop making videos for us. 👍
U love fish, thamks to share
ОтветитьExcellent video,i usually do a 59 percent every two weeks, maybe i should do more often, do you have a recommended online site for buying fish,I'm finding less places to go in person these days
ОтветитьBeautiful tank! Great video!
Ответитьwho sales that rock decor?
ОтветитьAs for the sand is there a special kind or just reg. sand??
ОтветитьExcellent, video...
ОтветитьI did a 50% water change because my tank had an algae bloom (I have 3 male convicts in the tank). After the water change the convicts have been hiding. The two males that live in the cave appeared to be very upset. They were hugging the top of the cave for a while and the single male just hid in his barrel. They really haven't eaten for about three days now. Are they/will they be ok?
ОтветитьI liked the size of tank...is that 50 gallon of tank?
ОтветитьKev your the Sheeeet. thanks bro
ОтветитьHey brother! Great video! Just found you! What device did you use to regulate the tap water temperature and check it? Thanks!
ОтветитьHow thick is the layer of sand in your tank ?
Is it true that it is better to avoid having more than 3 cm of sand in your tank to keep it cleaner
I like that you add all the de chlorination to the tank then add the water straight in from the tap. I have been treating and pouring individual buckets. I might have to switch up my method
ОтветитьHow do you avoid bacteria blooms when doing a 80% change
ОтветитьHey kaveman! Have a 29gal sea pro w/ built in refugium to the back. I've been having algae/ bacterial issues a month after tank was first installed. I now watch all your videos, your tank setup is great, you inspired me to try out the "matrix" bio rocks and some more biofiltration techniques. Tank is still a bit cloudy after 4 25-35% water changes this week. Believe I'm on the right track now with your cleaning guides, will just let it handle itself now. Keep up the good work!
ОтветитьLooks like to many fish to much rock and not a lot of swimming room.
ОтветитьI'm new to aquarium life. When you're doing a water change, does the new water come from my sink? And then I need to use a de-clorine agent?
ОтветитьHey Kev! Do you rinse off your decor as well (In this case, your rocks) before putting them back into your tank?
ОтветитьHello, I’m new to this channel, but this channel is amazing! You’re very informative! I’m working on starting my first saltwater tank. I’m very nervous. Just ordered a mantis shrimp. Learning a lot from your videos but it looks like you’ve slowed down making them. Hopefully you get that hunger back because there’s still alot we need to learn from you. Also, if you went a little more in depth I’d pay for your classes lol but thanks alot for what you’ve done so far. 🫡
ОтветитьI have 60 gallon with 8 fancy lions head goldfish I feed 3 times per day I always feed my fish so they are not as hungry ...some don't feed their fish much because they afraid polluted the water but I found this API stress zyme+ once a week can keep water crystal clear clean everything for 2 to 3 months easily without changing the water after
change haft or 30 percent and use API aqua essential ... to conditioner the water 4 in one and filter I use aqua clear 150 gallon per hour still running almost 25 years old with cut up cotton for bottom layer.. just hope stress zyme don't cost too much now a day $ 50 per gallon last me two years easily but it use to be $ 19 or $ 25 15 years ago.. fish growing faster if you change water every 5 to 6 weeks I stopped change water often if my fish is growing big and older no longer growing.. filter every month change cut up cotton and clean sponge
Didn't know what video to ask. What do you clean your aquarium glass lids with? Like if you have mineral buildup or to just clean.
ОтветитьI work at a pet store and got moved to the fish dept. these videos are so helpful and everytime i watch a new video i learn something new hopefully other people can also gain experience and fish care and maintenance can be taken seriously 💕
ОтветитьI’m looking for them hose clamps. I don’t see them in the description below.
ОтветитьHi handsome ☺if you always clean sand substrate , the beneficial bacterial colony would not be disturbed?
ОтветитьYup.. those magnet glass cleaners can scratch your tank quickly...I have 2 ten gallons going to the trash soon as proof. I'll never use them again. You don't know they have sand attached until you hear...SCRATCHHHHHHH....
ОтветитьVery helpful thanks
ОтветитьDid you attach the python vacuum to the water pump to take out the water? And how did you attach them?
ОтветитьHi Kev,
How often do you clean the gravel substrate?
I’m really struggling with my tank. I have only mollies left now, but they keep dying. They seem fine one day and the next day I’d find one of them dead. I’ve taken your advice on water changes, cleaning the filter between water changes, putting water at the exact same temperature as in the tank back in.
I had one Guarami left before I bought 6 mollies. He seemed so happy to have company and the new ones seemed to settle in fast.
Then a week later I found the Guarami dead. He came to eat just fine the day before.
Then a week later a fish from the new batch died. A few days after that one, another one of the same colour died as well.
I have a 120l tank with a Fluval filter.
The longest I’ve had a fish live is probably 6m.
The water system has a salt blocks filter on it. Could it be that?
Any idea what is going on?
Thank you so much.
Hi great video. I do have a question though what is the best and safest way to remove green looking grime off the fresh water tank decorations and plants?
ОтветитьHELP…I have been doing 80% water changes and it’s been good…I did a water change on Saturday and forgot to turn off the filter so I had to re-prime it…I decided to check my canister and found it to be filthy…. I know I shouldn’t do a water change and canister cleaning on the same day and I’m thinking that’s why my nitrate’s are already between 40-80 PPM 😢…suggestions
ОтветитьWhat was the vac you were using in this video? I’m new to aragonite substrate, so any info will help lol!! Cheers
ОтветитьI have a quick question how do you do it when you want to do a whore overhaul, and change the rocks and everything
ОтветитьWhat do you think of Eheim pumps?
ОтветитьThank you so much for making these videos I just started this hobby last week and have found your channel at first when I started I just thought fish would die every few days but after watching your videos I have Learned how to properly care for my fish and none have died
ОтветитьWill you ship your rocks to Australia please and what’s the cost.
I’m very keen to get both sizes you have in this video.
Cheers👍🏻🤞🏻
