I'm 25 as I'm writing this comment. Today's perspective (and I'm a male) is everyone is standing out from themself. In the video at least it seemed like everyone sticking together and it's logical as there was no internet, computers, and phones weren't big of a thing. Sure, I do have some very good friends, but the mainstream has separated us. Everything has become a competition because that's how we have been programmed in today's society. Watch out how AI and robots will destroy everything that once felt normal in the 80s. We are devolving as humans, so much fakeness is around today that it's hard to filter it from reality. Sad.

I'm always surprised that a teenager was walking around with a video camera. They were pretty expensive back then.

Even though my smartphone has allowed me to teach myself so much about politics, history, government, language, etc. I still feel like I've been missing out all my life. Although it is interesting to see how people used to live in their ignorance and arrogance, people like me shouldn't feel bad because we have grown up with extra opportunities, knowledge and privilege. The best thing to do, I believe, is continue attempting to live our life how we think it should be lived.
