Ryzen 3 3100 & 3300X Review, $100-$120 3rd gen Ryzen CPUs

7 months later. Never seen an actually 3300x for sale.

3300x was not available when this vid was new and it hasen't been since (today nov 29 2020) c'mon paper launch , it's in fashion no'a'days

I've bought a 3300x in India for about 175 USD... Yes, at 50% premium, 3600XT was priced 300 USD and beyond my reach. What motherboard can I go with, if I'm not into overclocking cpu (3300x doesn't overclock) and am going to simply enable XMP on my RAM and call it a day ? Should I go higher than a A520 ? I'm looking at getting 1440p gaming with 5700XT...

Is the ryzen 3100 and 1660 a stupid combo or is rx580 better for basic 1080p gaming this will be my first gaming pc

Currently in my country and with 3300x out of stock everywhere I would have to pay nearly 50% more for 3300x than for 3100.
Ironically enough at current 3300x price i could get i5-10400f...
Though since i would love to put my 2600k to rest finally, I might just buy some decent B550 board and ryzen 3 3100 for the time being, just to finally move to a proper platform.

If they were just able to keep them in stock?

Should I get ryzen 5 1600 or ryzen 3 3100 ?
I think that 1600 will be more future proof because red dead redemption which is a multi threaded game and other games like that were running better on 1600 than 3300x

The fact it matches the 2700x in gaming is actually kind of funny. You could get 2700x CPUs for $130 from Microcenter like 6 months before the 3300x launch.

Does it come with thermal paste?

If you can spend 50$ more, 3600 is the way to go. You spend not much to gain more. I have 3600x for six happy months. It is a better binned CPU.

Finally I will be adding Ryzen 3 3300x to my channel. I think it will be a better choice instead of buying ryzen 3 3100 and Overclocking it

You're ignoring Texas Instruments ARM MPU's to make AMD look better.

Is this a good CPU if I wanna play BFA on high/semi high performance during M+s/Arenas/Raids?

As the 3300X use the single CCX, can i use single channel 2400 ram with that processor without having performance issue?

I've seen benchmarks of 3300X with cpu OC and RAM OC, where this thing crushes 9900K in 0.1 % lows in some games. Believe it or not. Even an OCed 9900k in some cases, IIRC.

wtf is the GPU used in benchmarks? Also never mentioned about it in techspot com.

How does Ryzen do in really ancient games, like UE 2 old, i still play some of those games and they are ridiculously badly optimized and CPU is all that matters. I fear they favor Intel to the extreme.

it is a spanking for Intel!
and since we have seen in the laptop area how fool Intel is making by launching tonnes of H series CPU with no to 2% performance gain over 9th Gen CPUs. Almost the same is spotted for desktop line up. 10600k 10700k 10900k!
Meanwhile, AMD is expected to launch 3600XT, 3800XT and 3900XT to counter these Intel parts until they launch 4th Gen Ryzen i.e. Zen3

Ok, now my Tier List is that: Atlon 3000G > R3 3200G > R3 3300X > R5 3600. AMD is on fire!! Just in one gen later, R3 3300X is better than R5 2600...

The 3300X looks a good deal but add ~£40 and pick up a R5 3600
