A good way to get more aggressive with the wire brushing of those screws is to push them into a piece of cardboard. Then you're not wire brushing your finger tips.

Great work kid! I like the detail in cleaning up the crusty interior screws. 87 MR2 was my first project car and taught me a lot. Take care of the car. I miss mine a lot.

You should've use aircraft paint remover on the wheels , apply and leave for 15 to 20 min and all paint was going to be off really easy and then just minor sanding required, as for the intake it was on the right place since it was geeting cold air from the vent, but like you said rain could get there , but theres other options ,theres one with an inclosure filter and a flexi hose so you can redirect you air catch maybe from one of the side scoops, i did that on my mr2 mk3 , nice video 👌

I bought a 1987 MR2 but have been pretty nervous about diving into projects on it (it’s my first ever project car, and no one in my family has any car experience). These videos are helpful for seeing how you did it, but also to see how much trial and error goes into these projects. Honestly seeing you struggle on the upholstery is helping me be ok with goofing stuff up and trying again. Looking forward to more videos!

In the future for sewing things with 3 dimensional shape, what you want to use is a high post sewing machine. They are used by bag and footwear makers and I am sure if you find a cobbler in your area or a shoe repair shop they would have one they could let you use.

You also need special needles when sewing leather/vinyl that actually have a more chisel shaped end to them, allowing them to cut through the thicker material without increasing the hole size for the thread.

The door buzzer! I took a water bottle cap & placed it over the button & under the gasket to hold the button in! FIXED!

Make the center caps with cardboard cutouts then measure the depth of the circle 🔴 and use A aluminum siding sheet to make the caps then paint them.Or 3D print them out.
