How much does a SOFTWARE DEVELOPER make?

People who are doubting her words, she is speaking honest truth. Product companies do pay this much, and I know for sure Porter does. Its not her fault that she is talented and hardworking enough to get into a product based company.

Someone told me that software engineers actually receive only 33–35% of their packages. I’m completely unaware of their package system.

All of them saying entry level salary in tcs cognizant and all service based companies names... It's not an SDE position... Its associate software engineer or mostly system engineer.... So please stop saying you are talking about an SDE position... You are talking about testers. She has talked about average SDE roles entry level salary... Which is indeed 10 LPA. Search on glassdoor and other websites... Even they say the same thing. Please do some research before telling that others are spitting lies.

Bc idhar 6 year experience ke sath 4.8 lpa pe atka hu bc INFOSYS me 😭🤣

For entry level: DS, Algo, Operating system, Networks.
For experienced: Add above, System Design, Domain you have worked(Tech stack), Database, Cloud Technologies(Azure, AWS, .. )

Software industry is currently down in India. As most clients are US UK based the market changes outside affect India.
Such people who boast their salary have switched jobs during the boom that happened 6 months back...now ramp offs and lay offs and pip is going on silently in service industries...so please dont dream of IT atkeast for 6-7 months.
Even Indian clients are not sparing their employees.

Average salary search anywhere forr entry level engineer hasn't changed from 1980s its still around 3 to 7 lpa.
