Moving to a credit union is not a good idea, it’s better to use credit cards

This happened to me about 2 years ago. They froze my account 5 times in a period of 4 months and each time telling me there were suspicious activities. Let's see... Walmart purchases, McDs lunches, monthly CC and utility bills, etc, were all suspicious to this facility. The best thing is to avoid this dysfunctional facility. It is simply a "facility" to me and not a bank! Banks don't operate that way... Got my life back only after I switched to a bank.

Welcome to the world where AI is calling the shots. No person shut your account down. AI programming is flagging accounts the bank should close and they're doing what AI tells them to do.

I feel this should be changed because we trust the institution to have our money available for withdrawal when i need it. You close it thr bank should not be allowed to keep our funds in the account for any reason especially when it has been available for access before it was closed

When you're dictatorship bangs the word recession or Great Depression this is what you get.
Democratic party high inflation still affects everyday Americans.
Even cutting the interest rate will take time to trickle down to the public.
So if you voted for the democratic party you deserve every ounce of No Remorse

Most of these accounts are being locked because of gift card fraud scammers these people are putting money on gift cards a lot of money and this is the reason why their accounts are being frozen add more people need to have their accounts Frozen to protect the elderly from the scams.

In an investigation needs to be done before these people have access to their money if my bank account was frozen because of this I would have absolutely no problem and it being frozen because protecting the most innocent people in our community is better than the alternative.

Here's an idea why are these people are putting thousands of dollars on a gift card😮

There's absolutely no excuse for anyone to put thousands of dollars on gift cards unless you're doing something wrong.

You have a bank account do you have an ATM card or a bank card why are you putting thousands of dollars on a gift card.

The only people that put thousands of dollars on gift cards or scammers and your bank account definitely needs to be frozen if that's what you're doing.

To protect the most vulnerable people on the face of this planet the elderly. If they're not doing anything wrong then is there a bank accounts get unfrozen.

But if they are doing something wrong they don't have access to money they stole. You shouldn't access too money that you stole. 😂😂

There’s an alarming amount of stupid comments here. The problem is not the bank freezing accounts to prevent you from being wiped out by a scammer, the issue is that people are verifying themselves as the account holders of said accounts and STILL not having their account unfrozen!!! Im dealing with this bullshit right now over a 2.99 withdraw being flagged as suspicious. Went to a human teller and nothing was resolved. Called and cant even get a human on the phone.

Years ago, I was a bank customer at Bank of America, so they took over $500 worth of a 10-dollar overdraft, and this is just an instance. So they knew when my direct deposit came in, so they didn’t update what I spent on the webpage, so I could not pay it off, but they waited until my direct deposit went through, then they took the money. They messed up my life significantly. I was working but never had money because of those overdrafts, and I couldn't keep up with my bills. Thanks to God, I was able to move to a different bank, and I learned my lesson: don't trust the banks. I always thought putting money in the bank was the safest place to protect your money, but don't learn from that mistake because putting money in the bank is to help them hurt more people. By the way, I never got my overdraft scam money back from them.

This happened to me in 2007. I was on my way that same morning to fly to Mardi Gras LAX to New Orleans and suddenly my Bank of America account was frozen and removed. Within the same hour of realizing my account was frozen I received a phone call from a woman named Rene Simmons out of the Fraud Department in Dallas Texas who proceeded to yell at me stating that "We found you we tracked you down and that's it!". and she hung up on me. I was completely side blinded by both her phone call and my account being frozen and not having funds for my trip to Mardi Gras. My plane ticket was paid so I went and borrowed money and left the problem solving after the weekend. When I returned a few days later I went to several Bank of America locations ALL ignored me. Waiting in the lobby area for over an hour for someone to help me resolve the issue and NO ONE helped me. This is a TRUE Story. They just left me sitting there and never came back to me to help me. I made so many phone calls and basically , some woman and I'm not afraid to say it, but she sounded African American as she had an accent to her speech indicating she was an African American. She never again returned my call and I basically NEVER got my money from that account. It was between $300-$400 in that account. And still to this day I know and convinced the corruption in banks are from the ROGUE and corrupted employees that move under the radar unexposed to hurt innocent people and steal from innocent people for their own personal gains. I never got answers and believe that this company has a network of BLMers or African Americans that bully other employees and bystanders to gain for their personal lives. I worked at Banc of America Securities San Francisco in 1999 to which I was fired after being repeatedly bullied from a group of Black African American women and their security guards and allies to a point of not being able to work and function correctly in the work place. They have a network of lawyers and strong armed bullies and they push the power buttons to see how much they can get away with as a dictatorship without sounding alarms to the mainstream. It's evil .

If you have the ablilty to bank with a credit union, do it today!!!

These banks "BoA, Wells Fargo, Chase, Citibank or PNC " are all part of the banks that took Bailouts, foreclose on people, and gave golden parachutes... Why are everyday people still banking with them is a mystery.

I don't see the problem. If a persons account gets hacked and they lose the money because the person was stupid and gave their account information to the wrong website or person they expect the bank to reimburse them their loss for their stupidity. I'd much rather have a bank that locks my account at the first sign of trouble than one that doesn't. Have more than one bank and bank account, have multiple assets and keep track of them. If one gets frozen because of suspicious activity use the others... it is far far better to have an account locked than to lose money in it from fraud or theft.... come on people... think... use your brains... f%^king do better....

BOA can't be trusted. I've heard that 30 branches are closing. In 2019, when I still had a landline, I received a phone call with the caller ID showing BOA. This person wanted information about all my credit cards and bank accounts. I hung up! Then I called BOA and asked if they were the one who called me. They said no!
I asked how then it was possible for the caller ID to show their name. I was told that sometimes people in the bank use their phones to commit fraud. Go figure!!!

I have a claim on a stolen check and the bank tossed me every which way no matter how hard I followed up on it til I just gave up. So frustrating. I never got refunded as the bank put up all kinds of hurdles that I just stopped following up. I'm a 75 yo senior citizen battling cancer. Is this bank that cruel and insensitive?

Inflation, bank collapse, severe drought in the agricultural belt, recession, food shortages, diesel fuel and heating oil shortages, baby formula shortages, available automobile shortages and prices, the price of living place. <It's all coming together and it could lead to a real disaster towards the end of this year (or sooner). With inflation currently at about 6%, my primary concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement fund of about $300k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.

This has been going on for the last 6-7 months. I work at a community center and people love to talk when they come in. This bank account freezing thing has happened to so many people I can't even count the stories I have been told. All different banks, from all different people. Also bank auto freezing debit cards. Aaahhhhhh HA!!!!…….the account surrounding this story actually highlights a probable scenario. A customer, who is a popular online writer, critical of “injustice” and other “hot button” topics, gets his online email account “hacked” and suddenly has to deal with a situation completely NEW to him, so he reports it to the “FBI”……🤔🤔🤔🤔

Annnnnnnd, of course the “FBI” has never used these tactics before….in order to “compromise” an “asset”, get them to turn state’s evidence in a “forced legal prosecution”, and that they can then use to trumpet out their “Successful Investigation” message for their own “self serving
”purposes to make their agency “appear” to ACTUALLY be doing something….Naaahhhhhhh that NEVER happens…..🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫
💥👊🤣💥👌🤓😎👍

Yeah those FBI folks are the best that money can buy……OFF!!! 💥👊🤣💥😎👍👌🤓
