I don't understand the purpose to use your tokens to buy a card (like Reparo or Incendio) then putting that card in the discard pile...What's the point of that?

THANK YOU. I've been looking for a quick overview of the game and everyone seems to be posting basically a full video of the first game, which really isn't that fun to watch. This was straight to the point and perfect!

Our biggest issue with this game so far is the difficulty scaling as you add players. With 2 players, it's nearly impossible to lose. My wife and I have maybe lost one in ten games. However, go to 3 players and those statistics seem to switch. Go to 4 players and, well, good luck. We've played 15 games so far with 4 players and have yet to win, and in most cases lose before we've downed more than 2 villains.

We're working on some homebrew rules to smooth it out and bring win chance % closer to 50/50 no matter how many are playing.

Doesn't seems fun. It might have been better if it was original and not movie art.

This just feels like a novel reskin of another game. Other than the theme and characters, it hardly seems to make any sense as a Harry Potter related game. Since when is Harry Potter a battle genre?

Seems really similar to the Lord of the Rings deck building games. Especially Two Towers as it brings in more location and enemy tokens.

Step 1) throw the stupid crap in the bin if you made the mistake of buying it in the first place

Step B) find a game based on decent fantasy fiction, written for adults by a competent author.

Step III) play that instead

When you defeat a villain you take them out but don't add a new villain until the end of the turn. I don't think you mentioned the villain rewards which you get during that turn not at the end.
