Hi, may I know how long did you took for the car scanned and to process the file?
ОтветитьThis was a great video very well done, first video of yours I have seen and it was a awesome review well done!

Hi David. Love your channel. So helpful. I’m looking at making some carbon bits and I’m interested in your opinion. Would you say the Einstar provides sufficient accuracy for scanning bumpers to reverse engineer and design a splitter, for example. Any info would be great. Thank you!
Ответитьnah dont waste your money get the EinScan H Handheld 3D Scanner
Ответитьyoure not joking about the ergonomics. they are AWFUL! not a fan of the slick silicone case either. the fact if comes with a wrist tether tells me they realized late in the game it was going to be a problem and slapped a cheap fix in place.... as for results? i cant get mine to do ANYTHING on the level of what youve shown. too late to return but frankly im over it and moving one to some other model
ОтветитьКрасавчик, очень интересно
ОтветитьSo, I broke down and bought one of these; abandoning the XBox concept. Yeah; It's badass. going to be using it to scan my kid's VW MK2 GTI, along with a rear wheel arch (non-rotten) from the wrecking yard so that I can properly jig/place the replacement fuel-filler-neck-bracket back into his car. Now I'm scanning absolutely EVERY car part I have and this is fully part of my workflow now.
ОтветитьWhat a great review, thank you! Have wanted a good scanner for a long time and this is hard to beat
ОтветитьHow big were the save files of the brake and car?
ОтветитьWhat is on his desk plugged into the computer, it has a knob and some buttons?
ОтветитьHere due to @SuperfastMatt
ОтветитьHave you tried scanning large objects? 15-20m?
I make planes for a flight simulator, and being able to scan them would be very helpful. Any suggestion very welcome.
TIA.
$959.00
ОтветитьBeen considering this as my stepping stone to their handheld lidar type scanner ($7k) and after checking out the video i'm really looking forward to getting one and playing around. I'm developing a new custom ducktail wing for my FLZ TT and the large area/fast pace looks to be absolutely ideal for scanning the car in (multiple sections knitted together).
In all honesty for what i'm needing the scanner for in the immediate futurre, the quality of scans this produces (especially with the spec of laptop i'll have for it) should be absolutely spot on!
(And the super long video was extremely helpful! 👍👍)
I understand I am months late to this party, But: I have just acquired the use of an Einstar ("acquired" as in I was able to borrow it) and I need to give it back in a resonable amount of time. I am unable to get the fine details like as shown in this video, or any other videos I see on YT. Would anyone like to share some hacks they have learned using it? I am struggling to get my scns done with any detail. Thanks.
ОтветитьFirst thing I like a lot is that it doesn't have a USB port on the device itself.
USB ports are terrible when it has to hold itself and move constantly.
For whatever reason, scanners even more expensive than this one opt for terrible USB ports.
What is the accuracy?
ОтветитьGreat Content
ОтветитьTech not ready for prime time. The resolution seems awful. Maybe OK for small items/hobby scanning/printing but this is a toy.
ОтветитьI need some help. I want to scan 3D surfaces and convert it in 2D to use in a plotter. Is there a good software?
ОтветитьI want a scanner that I can model my back yard with.
ОтветитьYes, I'm so sick of stupid doll scanners.
ОтветитьI'd love to see a comparison between this and the revopoint range + new revoscan 5 software. I just can't find one and you seem to be the man.
ОтветитьYou make reference to "generating point cloud". From my LiDAR background I think you start with a point cloud, then generate a surface model. Am I incorrect?
Ответить£1000 🙄
ОтветитьThank you twice: for the video and for the discount. I just bought one :)
Ответить2000$
Ответить"consumer" 1000€
ОтветитьThanks!! (Y)
ОтветитьThank you. Saw this and ordered the scanner :)
ОтветитьGreat review, I was hoping to use a 3d scanner for indoor/outdoor statues in Rome but only have a M1 MacBook Pro 2021 which is still powerful when it comes to laptops but question is, would I be able to go out to these statue sites and take scans with it connected up to my MacBook? Does the software even work for Mac… Anyways, I may have to invest not only in a scanner but a new pc rig which is going to be expensive by the looks of it.
ОтветитьGreat Review can it be used with Mac OS operating system?
ОтветитьWhich is the software that you recommend for making the reverse engineering after scan part?
ОтветитьCan you scan Chrome plated objects
ОтветитьMinor suggestion, audio required nearly full volume to hear you whisper.
Ответитьhello!
the video is cool. Is the accuracy good?
what about shiny objects ?
ОтветитьI need .03 mm accuracy
ОтветитьLoved this review! Have you ever tried using the Einstar on one of your bicycles? Very curious on how well it handles all the cavities/crevices and the shiny surfaces
ОтветитьHello Can you scan buick riviera 1967?
ОтветитьThank you! My first scanner too and you cleared up so much! I think Einstar is lacking this kind of instruction and I'm glad you were there to fill in the gaps!
ОтветитьGuys I need to find the best scanner just for doing human faces. What would you suggest? I know this model has a dedicated face setting but is there anything better on the market in that price range? (even better if it works on Mac) Thank you!
Ответитьquestion. i bought one of these without knowing much of the ram and graphics card requirements, if you have a 16gb or 32gb ram does is it really necessary to have a good graphics card ?
ОтветитьAbsolutely nice review. I just placed an order for my company. We want to use it to scan for rail profile.
Ответитьiphone 12 make better
ОтветитьThat laptop should easily cope with that scanner and its software. An M4000M is good enough. If its not working for you, maybe the GPU card settings need adjusting to suit the software. And also are you sure that the software is using the M4000M rather than the integrated? Quite a few programs I use dont pick up the Nvidia card automatically, especially ones that are intended for "consumers"!!
ОтветитьLove the video, sir. I've got one coming in towards the middle of the week and was getting pretty worried about my laptop. I saw your comparison video between the 4 scanners first and you'd pointed out that you really needed a stronger machine for this scanner over the others and when I looked up the specs and saw that 11th gen chip in the recommended specs I was despairing about my laptop. It's not new, but I hadn't even though about the laptop. Now that I've seen the specs that your desktop has, I'm feeling a bit better. My laptop is running an 8th gen i7 with 32GB of RAM and a 2070 super, so I think it should at least be functional.
Again, thanks for the video and the really digging in on it.
Glad i saw your video. This will definitely be a new addon to my VR AR collective.. and I'm actually blown away at the attainable price
ОтветитьHow would this work for scanning a Motocross helmet or boots and turning them into a 3D model. What’s the best 3D scanner for this scenario cheers
