Elden Ring - Walkthrough Part 20: God-Slaying Armament (Patched, Read Pinned Comment)

As of Patch 1.08 this jump is no longer possible. I continue this series without using the +7 stone until we normally find a +7 out in the world so you'll be fine to continue with the walkthrough.

Also, your third talisman slot comes later, I mentioned that part of the video was rerecorded after the fact because I thought guiding you to the soreseal would be good at that point when I was reviewing content. You'll get your third talisman slot after beating Renalla.

In the first episode where we really push for upgrades since the start we go through a route to obtain a +10 sombering weapon (trophy) You should have no issue killing bosses now that we've obtained this. We also kill Greyoll (legendary incantation) and obtain Radagons Soreseal (legendary talisman) which are both for trophys.

For those that went on ahead and triggered Radahn you'll still be able to do the other content after him, you'll just have to get through his fight before you can do Redmane Castle, which should no longer be a concern given that he was nerfed.

That ledge kicked my as$ had to take the long way.

I appreciate that you showed the jump trick to get through this but if I'd have known ahead of time I would've opted to skip to the next stage. That was such a frustrating waste of time.

Question the somber 7 was patched, does Killing the godskin noble in the manor affect any quest lines?

Went from having 2 talismans to 3 with no explanation it's just there where did you pick that up?

This jump has been patched. It can’t be done. Year is 2023. The year we have a minutes silence in memory of this jump.

When did we get 3 talisman slots?

where can i get the somber 7 this early on, they patched that step and i couldn't make the jump sadly

I died 3 times coming to get this stupid stone. Guess I should of read the comments on it.

If anyone wants the somber 7 without the jump trick, another trick that wont be patched is craft 3 or 4 sleep jars and go through the church to fight the boss. I was 14 arcane and managed to beat the guy with a no hit by pegging him with a sleeping jar then charge hitting with a level 6 bloodhounds fang at a lower overall level character than was used in this video. Hit with sleeping pot, smack and repeat 3 times. Then you can just sprint through the path avoiding enemies and grab the somber 7.

Does this jump still work for the somber stone 7?

@FightinCowboy ik this isn't your actual main exploration of volcano manor, just wanted to point out you missed the Smoldering Shield in the area after you first drop down from the top of the lava waterfall if you quick step/ back step to the right past the stone structures you find an area of gravestones with a few pots and the shield and a path that shows where you can jump to get a stonesword key that you miss in your later episodes

Using the lift to Altus Plateau will not trigger the Radahn festival.
Activating graces in Altus Plateau triggers the festival. BUT the grace inside the Sealed Tunnel dungeon in Altus Plateau does not!

The Sealed Tunnel is especially great for early access to Smithing Miner's Bell bearing 2(smithing stones 3 and 4), as well as farming smithing stone 5 by killing the miners. You can even pump your weapon to +16, if you let the maiden smash the statue further inside the dungeon, and grab the delicious +6 smithing stone. If you choose to complete the whole dungeon, then don't activate the grace outside after leaving the boss room. That grace will trigger the festival.

I've done this on several characters to get a beefy start before hitting Castle Stormveil. This works for patch 1.10.

They patched the jump for sure, at least its much much harder now i couldn't do it. Instead i actually went back to roundtable and ranked up the bloodhound to +6 and then went back to the virgin to teleport. Then i made my way to the noble and managed to beat him my 2nd try. Perhaps with the patches in place the bosses got slightly easier?? Ive been able to take on pretty much all the bosses you advised to avoid so i would say to others to give the boss a few tries. I flamed up my sword and summoned the archer. She does lil damage and dies fast but the aggro is enough to get behind him and do some charged attacks into a stagger. Then use the blue tears to regain the lost fp, you should proc bleed and get a critical. Then just be careful and use the pillars to avoid the roll, then fhinsh it off with the blood hounds ash of war. Trust me fellow tarnished that boss is much easier than doing the jump.

My bloodhound does 884 all around damage but that’s cause my strength and dex are both at 70

For anyone interested. You can farm that great dragon infinitely. Go attack it's tail. Around 20% of the hp left mount your horse and proceed with the attacks. In the very moment that tail will twitch run as fast as you can to the grace site and rest. Dragon won't disappear that way and you can have as many rounds with it as you want and gain almost 50k of runes for each time you kill it.

Brotip, if you kill the giant dragon you lose an awesome optional boss fight later in the game

Now i´ve got everything to lvl up the bloodhound .... expect the somber 7 ... thanks to the patch ... i´m very desperate x_x

Question. How can I get to that spot again. I accidentally found another grace and I can’t return to this specific spot.

Even though they fixed the jump you can still go and fight the Godskin Noble.
I'll admit it's not an easy fight because of the poor layout of the Temple of Eiglay but its doable. I had bloodhounds fang and Oleg on lvl 5 an it took me <10 tries.

Also after the kill you can rest at the grace without triggering radhan festival. Then you can just do the regular loop to get the somber 7.

I was also able to do Varres questline with the offline invasion in the Writheblood Ruins without triggering Radhan.
After defeating Magma Wyrm Makar you can easily run through Altus plateau without resting at a grace, do the invasion and warp out.

To sum it up:
Still possible to get the lvl 10 weapon very early and without triggering radhan festival.

Had to kill the boss and complete the whole thing.. took me less than jumping…

So many weapons I don't know what to choose.

I'm running dex/faith build and was just thinking of doing Winged Scythe. What're some other good weapons???

I spent 90 minutes trying to do the jumps to get the last stone.

if you encounter bell bearing hunter, it is easy to just parry him to death. I killed him when I was lvl 80

You can turn off the festival by killing radahn and talking to an npc

wtf bro, I thought this is just a walkthgrough, not a fucking speedrun. It was a waste of time for me, cause the game is patched. I can understand soft start, but this idea of exploiting the flow in the game was ridiculous. Thx God I've did backup save, cause now I would be stuck in this crappy level where I dont belong now
