i can remember when i got my first period. it was the night before a sleepover with a softball teammate that was a year older than me (who also hadnt gotten her period yet). i was using the bathroom and when i wiped i saw some red. i was like, “uh oh.” i had my mom explain to me what to do. ever since then, theres always that one week every month where pe at school is absolutely terrible.

I act like a she-Hulk when I'm on my blood. When I'm cramping, it totally fucks up my day/mood. Every once in a crescent moon will I go through my entire cycle cramp free. So glad there's men in the comment section who obtain this sort of information; not getting repulsed by it.

I'm currently on my third day of period and I'm watching this. I used to hate periods so much and when I first got them I felt like this was a curse. I experience intense mood swings to the point where if I'm having a bad day (thankfully my family makes it worse) I'd be contemplating d3ath. My breasts get sore a week before my period, I have cramps 2 or 3 days prior and yeah it feels not so good. But I'm not complaining my body is doing so much and I'm grateful that's its on time and I'm healthy.

Mood swings or other symptoms are not always during periods.
Personally, I'm at my "worst" emotionally 1 week before. Once it starts, I already feel better.
One or 2 weeks before they start, I start being bloated because of water retention, I have to eat more fibers than usual, I feel less motivated and positive. Periods on the contrary trigger me being back to a little better "me". They last 3 days, no cramps most of the time.
I hated it so much when my ex boyfriend told me to the slightest change of mood during my period that it was because of that while he was the one being irrational lol
