Fascinating guy so many layers. Makes me realize there is a lot behind great movies. Sad he passed away but what a legacy including his son.

I wish IR would have talked about "Private Parts".

Pollak is smart and well informed and also talented, and of course his guests are great, and an encyclopedia of knowledge about filmmaking, but Pollak ruins it all by going on camera in that stupid, stupid, stupid hat. He looks like a New Jersey pimp. He looks SO stupid that you can’t stop wondering why on earth he has it on his head. It detracts from the main point of interest, which is the interview, He needs to realize that NO ONE CARES if he’s losing his hair, presumably the reason he’s wearing the stupid little hat. There certainly couldn’t be any other reason for showing up for a shoot with a chamber pot on your head. LOSE THE HAT. Most of us have to turn the screen away and just listen, so as not to have to look at that STUPID HAT! WHAT is he thinking?

Ivan Reitman seems like a genuine down to earth guy. Loved the interview. Fascinating guy.

I really like this show but damn 17 minutes of nonsense.

1h20 and still not haven't talking about Ghostbusters,geez Meatballs was big we get it.

If Julia Roberts really did in fact audition for the role in Ghostbusters then that wasn't after Mystic Pizza. Mystic Pizza is 1988. She only had an uncredited role before that I believe in 1987. Ghostbusters was shot in late 1983. Not to mention that Julia was 15-16 around that time. So I'm pretty sure that's bullshit. I've heard him say this anecdote in other interviews too, don't know why he keeps mentioning it when it's either complete BS on his part or just a bad memory thing.

Thanks for a great upload! Love this show. I think the biggest lesson to learn from Ivan's interview is the fruits of tenacity. Very inspiring for anyone attempting to enter the business.
