great project! can i use uno or nano or mini for this project?

Nice project and video! May I use a Pro Micro Mini MCU Leonardo ATMEGA32U4 board instead? And how about a rotary multi-turn potentiometer?

im doing this with and arduino uno, the knob gives me the right output but the volume doesnt change, can you help me?
