I have a vent mount but when I attach it my vent drops down. Is that ok or does that mean it’s too heavy
ОтветитьThese are some alright phone holders..lol and I appreciate your effort for "testing" them out.. there all bulky and takes up space.. I think people want to look for slick, slim easy to use preferably magnet.. that doesn't need to use vent.
Ответитьmy last phone holder melted in the Houston heat. LOL. I should have complained and gotten a replacement.
Ответитьthe adhesive for the window ones don’t work. not in a hot environment
ОтветитьGreat reviews, it just suprises me that none of these are top end products. Nearly eveyone has a car and even more people have a phone, why isn't there sonthing well put together out there. I find it hard to undestand why someone pays top dollar for an iphone or Samsung and then puts it in a cheap plastic holder?
Surely there's a massive untapped market here?
I own the Ainope and it’s awesome, the only thing I wish was different is that it was made out of metal or something sturdier them plastic. But nonetheless it’s awesome
ОтветитьWe need 2023 review
ОтветитьWhat I don't like about windshield & dashboard mobile holders is that in a sunny day, your phone will heat up like a steam iron.
ОтветитьSeems the vent ones would suck for a million reasons. Image being too hot or too cold and the phone is blocking the air . But I have a curved dash , which weeds most out . May try windshield mount . But I live in the mountains with curvy , bumpy roads and I have a big heavy phone . Hopefully I find something 😢
ОтветитьGet a hair cut, kid.
ОтветитьBro tell me you aren't driving 230 miles for the sake of this review. . . I was looking for kids or some sign of vacation but it looks like you just committed hard to this, that's dope if so.
ОтветитьWhere can we get a replacement round sticky for the windshield cellphone holder, mine isn't sticking to the windshield.
ОтветитьHi FR, I am a UK viewer of this video, which is very helpful, though I don't think all the models you tested are available in the UK. I dislike windscreen mounted holders, as the decrease the viewing area of the screen. Also, I think dash mounted holders should be positioned, so that you just need to glance to see, rather than move your head too much. But thanks again for the reviews Terry Davis
ОтветитьI am watching for to see which one was the dash mounted that can be vertical & horizontal for directions while traveling in my camry. Almost done with the video...we will see which one works.
ОтветитьIts like playing Pokémon go
ОтветитьI would like to get one… i don’t like the idea of my phone in direct sunlight though.
ОтветитьIn my experience none of these are a permanent solution. which one lasts over a year?
ОтветитьPlease test with small breaks, the mobile should not come out falling, this is the real test.
ОтветитьI just get a cheap air vent magnet mount. Does the job and looks sleek.
ОтветитьThanks howie mandel
ОтветитьEven before you broke it down and recommended it at the end, I was sole on the Ainope! I went and bought one at the end of this video. Thanks for this!
ОтветитьYou look like walter white from Breaking bad 😅
ОтветитьA side note: always clean the spot where you going to stick it with rubbing alcohol to get rid of dust and oils to help it really stick to the spot. You're welcome. 😁
ОтветитьBless this man stealing four phones to perform this experiment for our benefit.
ОтветитьIt must be cold where you’re at because if I leave my phone on the dash in the sun in Florida it’s overheating and it’s pausing. Did you sell phones get overheated for this Test demonstrating?
ОтветитьI genuinely wasnt sure about the suction cups on those things, i really appreciate this video
ОтветитьMy one criticism of your tests is that they appear to have been done on smooth roads. I wonder how well they would do if you were driving on gravel or on paved roads with potholes or washboard.
ОтветитьGreat reviews, thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьYour review is valuable and expensive. Thank you very much.
ОтветитьI had a sticky one and it kept falling off, whether on glass or dash, when the weather is really sunny and hot its worse, and the ball joint was loose so it kept dropping down, in th eend i threw it away and bought a heater vent type and that is really good, nice and rigid, doesnt move around and you can use it landscape or portrait...Fred in England...
ОтветитьI like the anope but does the clip rotate because my vents are vertical?
ОтветитьYeah I don't purchase the ones that go in the vents I've seen to many break the vents
ОтветитьWhere are the charging cords that’s makes this review invalid as there is no chance of being dragged by the cord. What you think dude am I too critical in evaluating or there is a bias in your presentation. 🤨
ОтветитьI want to go road trip 🚘 with you 😉🙃
Ответитьit's 2023 & car manufacturers make useless infotainment screen. at least they should built-in phone holder
no doubt that holders with grips design is the best one but after using it for a long time i figured out that upper grips is blocking letter in the edges of the phone keyboard. so im looking now for upper grips that is a bit higher to be above phone keyboard
@Freakin' Reviews can you do a test with wireless charging holders
ОтветитьTo me magnetic phone mounts are the best easy on off and can also rotate the phone easily. Only con would be that you need to stick a metal piece on the phone and cannot use a random phone. But then magsafe options exist which would be best option for iphones
ОтветитьAny phone that blocks the air outlet or needs a suction cup to stick to the windscreen and impair your vision are all crap!
Today, with bluetooth and huge fines for touching your phone mean that I place my phone in the rear console. I do not make calls when driving and only accept calls using the steering wheel buttons. Phones are the cause of so many accidents especially rear ending the car in front because your eyes are of the road.

ОтветитьThe Loncaster is the best of all time
ОтветитьYour review is especially informative and thorough. My concern is being able to access the side buttons of the phone, and to be able to rotate for a larger screen when navigating. Some of those actually work only one way, and the clamshell you reviewed in another episode failed miserably because there is no access at all. Others failed because the brackets covered the side buttons completely.
Going for the rotatable vent mount with the least amount of plastic. A winner in my book! Thanks for saving me a ton of frustration, money, and time.
You should test them on London roads, as they are most terrible roads in Europe
Ответитьdo the suction pumps attach on the surface of the dashboard? most of these have a rough texture...
ОтветитьThank you for the video!
I’m very particular about phone mounts b/c I need to safely use my phone a lot for navigation, music, etc…
That said, I wanted to submit the biggest issue I had for 2 of the types of mounts you reviewed.
Vent Mount: If you can’t close off the air flow to the vent while using the mount, I would NOT use them. Phones don’t work too well & the batteries can get damaged when they get too 🔥hot🔥 or too ❄️cold❄️. Having hot or cold air directly blasting on them for long periods of time from an air vent can drastically effect the life of your phone.
Suction Cup: The addition of a sticky gel like layer to the suction cup is a significant improvement for maintaining a solid air tight seal over time + in some cases will allow it to work on a surface that isn’t completely smooth or flat. But over time, I’ve had the same issue happen w/ multiple brands…. Idk if it’s b/c of the heat from being on the dash, the long term effects of UV rays, or a combo of both, but first the once clear suction cup of the iOttie & other brands turned yellow after 2-3 months & the gel layer seemed to degrade. Even while using the round plate that comes with it, I’d reattach a freshly cleaned suction cup, get a good solid hold, come back after being parked for a few hours & find that it fell off again. Didn’t matter if it was a hot summer day or a cold winter night, same result.
Bottom Line: I do like the suction cup mounts best, but they need to be redesigned, so either the suction cups can easily be replaced once they start to fail or the manufacturer needs to formulate a new plastic/gel that can withstand UV rays, hot/cold temps, etc. & hold up better over time.
For people who have theirs on the dashboard how do you use a windshield sunshade in the summertime?
Ответитьbest review ever
