The sound it makes when you run and place a solid row of 40 assemblers is something I'll never get enough of. And I know 300h sounds like a lot, but at that point vanilla has a lot to offer still. Trains and logic systems using combinators can be perfected almost infinitely. I can spend a couple days tweaking combinators of a single blueprint until I'm finally somewhat happy. Build a base that produces 1k, 2k, or 5k of each science per minute. Then do it again but with default settings. Or beat the game in 5 hours. Or crank up the aliens' power and see what happens.

Factorio's expansion, or whatever they'll name it, is not coming out until the end of 2023 in the best case scenario. That's what the last update from the devs said. Can't wait to play it.

Always nice to see new people like you fall in love with this gem of a game.

Construction bots are green tech, you can beeline them really quickly.

It’s the general robot logistics system that’s right beside the rocket tech. Robot logistics are great, but they’re so powerful they’d encourage you to use them to lazily solve the game’s checkpoint logistics puzzles (science packs etc) if they were enabled any earlier. At the point where you finally unlock general logistics, you already produce all the science packs without robot logistics. You can use them to finally be lazy (you’ve earned it) or use them for good, making insanely powerful train stations and beaconed factory fields.

If you spent 300 hours on vanilla, space exploration can easily help you increase that number at least 5 times.

You should really try angels bob's mod pack with LTN it'll take you around a 100 hours your first play through. If you don't like the orecrushing aspect cause you find it too tedious get the normal ores for angel's mod it will take out about 20% of a full playthrough

I'm aware of Satisfactory, and I've been wanting to play it for a while, but I'm a bit nomadic at the moment, and my laptop runs it at like 6fps. Hopefully coming soon
