It’s because of the cable size that it won’t go faster. Thicker cables and they’ve could have upped the speed but would of course drain the battery like hell so a very intelligent compromise.

This car is not build for speed, but for comfort.
150 km/h is just fine for me, in the Netherlands max speed is 100 km/h at most places. Also the battery will last longer, so it makes sense.

Top speed?

When all the mankind who is mentioned 152km/h understand, that EVs are made for short daily trips (don't get tesla or taycan here in chart).
It will be driving average of 35km/h 90% of time and 90-130km/h 10% of it.
If you need longer trips one direction over 50km, you should probably get a plug in hybrid (C4 also available) or average diesel .

The speed limiter kinda sucks, but even with it you are going to be end up going like 100kmh anyways because otherwise it discharges too quickly. I drove a tesla and unless I drove at around 110 it was complaining I won't make it between the chargers :D

The impression that I get from the video is that the C4 with the 2.0l engine with 136hp would be more fun to drive. And a bigger range at 150km/h.

i have the petrol 1.2 and im very disapointed of the car .. but im glad i didnt buy the electric one for what i need daily

150 is ok for a cruising speed, hardly a peak of power of the car, just e-limited. The diff between this and a 1.0 petrol is that you could drive this one at top speed all day long, uphills, filled with passengers and cargo, if you have enough battery juice, and the petrol one would die (maybe even literally).

I guess in the future normal cars won't be as fast as old cars anymore because ''speeding is bad'' or ''the battery needs to be kept safe''
