Ik its probably a huge bottleneck but should i snatch this pc with an r9 390 and an i3 2120 for ~ 260?

I just bought two of these graphics cards for my first PC build and it turns out that my case wasn't big enough for both so I'm currently only using one. My question is should I just send the second one back or should I upgrade to a full tower? Also will I be fine with just one of these graphics cards or do you think I should stick with two?

Can somebody help me? I have r9 390 and i5 4690, so i should just be ablem to play games like The Crew and Saints Row 4 at Ultra 1080p solid 60fps, but in the crew in cities i drop fps reaching about 40, and that is almost the same on Saints Row 4. What can i do?

yeah in the count of fps amd wins here but amd has frame-time(ms) drops more often , but nvidia has more constant frame-time(ms) and fps at the lower price(vs 390 and 390x)(just in far cry 4 , shadow of mordor , son of rome has some frame-time(ms) drops)

Waiting to see the truth about the 390 when dx12 and other things game out.

the r9 360x and the gtx 970 were destroying every other gpu

chipper & performance = AMD. Expensive & performance (little bit) = Nvidia

I'm going to have to go its R9 390 , 8gb vram, and they are both barely out doing each other. But if you over clock gtx 970 it's better then r9, overlock r9 it's better then 970. But I am also very surprised the R9 290 is holding it up like a champ!!!

Is this even good comparison ,I mean why people go in race between these two cards up (R9 390 vs GTX970) .
I think it should be like this:
R9 390 vs GTX 980
R9 390x vs GTX980ti
R9 FuryX vs Titan X
so GTX970 will be vs R9 380 ,I think thats better and more natural.Or non Ti vs non X cards .

Your videos are great DigitalFoundry, however it is a little frustrating that you avoid actually benchmarking "real" scenarios, when you test GPUs you always use the best CPU, and when you test the CPU you always use the best GPU - why not test a 970 with an i5 6600k (OC and stock) vs a 970 with a cheaper and/or older i5 so we can see real differences - even if they're are none (since that would be important too) - and balance out budget better when buying a PC. I get that you want to show obvious differences between components so you make sure that the tested component is the bottleneck, but I would add that I don't particularly care what component is best in isolation since we never use a component in isolation.

Looking at the frame-time meter, the 970 stutters the most. With the pricing, availability, and performance, this confirms my choice of the 390.
