I will like to communicate more than this please help 😢
ОтветитьHey, am new, am an artist I paint and draw on canvas or paper but intend in going in to digital but don't know how to start and the economy is ✋ and I am watching from Nigeria 🇳🇬
ОтветитьMy whole life i never gave art a proper go because i thought you needed to just be born talented as both my parents are very good at art and i am definitely not... Only now did i realise that it just takes time and practise. Super excited to give it a good try now!
ОтветитьCan you make a tutorial for the fundamentals, please? I still feel lost and I am losing the passion
ОтветитьI am self-taught with using a mouse to make digital art because I was young and had no money for a tablet, and I honestly got pretty good at it, but holy hell the difference it made when I bought a $40 second-hand lowest tier Bamboo tablet. The change in quality and enjoyment I got from such a small device is insane. It's worth the investment even if it's just a hobby. You might think you won't use it that much but for me personally I started drawing much more often after getting it.

ОтветитьAlmost 4yrs on traditional art, now i want to learn digital art
ОтветитьExcellent video! You seem to be humble and honest. You got a follower here 👍🏼
ОтветитьI have a Wacom one and I love it. Really mad at myself for not getting an iPad though I hate being stuck at the computer, although it helps me keep working on traditional which is my love.
ОтветитьJust starting out my digital art journey (coming from traditional art). I ordered a Galaxy Tab S7 FE ... so excited to be on this journey! 😃🎨✅
ОтветитьDude if you have to chose between drawing on ipad or on a laptop + pen combo... What would you choose? Which experience is better??
ОтветитьMy Huion HS 64 is working so much better than the entry level wacom I bought as my first tablet. I had so many pen disconnects and issues with the wacom that I probably won't buy the brand ever again.
I'm excited for when I can buy the Xiaomi pad and pen as it's windows compatible which will work with my workflow better than apple products. Do you have a review on it yet?
Ive been drawing for years , but i still dont understand how to use tools
ОтветитьAs a working father only have about 30 a day. Just trying to stay consistent
Ответитьtake a look at resources you have got:
A phone and a 5€ thic stylus that is Not made for drawing
One question I have is for the drawing pads that have a screen, why do they need to be connected to a PC/laptop still? And does the PC/laptop need to have good specs like the non-screen pads?
ОтветитьThx Trent,
The “Mindset” list in this video is a list I needed. You got yourself a new subscriber.
A lot of really good more modern artist who were trained as graphic artist have become great oil painters. How or what is the process ? I am total confused. Any help appreciated.ex; Greg Newbold; ( I like Southwest art).
ОтветитьWhat do you think of the UGEE S640 drawing tablet , it's my first time trying digital art and I just ordered it
ОтветитьOutside of the US Ipads can be pretty expensive. In places in south america for example you might as well buy a motorcycle.
ОтветитьI'm using a Gaomon m1230 drawing board to begin. The price point is around sixty usd.
I've liked it so far, but I have very little experience.
I know someone who drew the art for 3 of his books using a mouse and they looked great. He also wrote all 3 books (and more) on a phone.
Ответитьgreat video as always man 👏👏👏👏👏
.
planning to upgrade to display tablet from pen tablet, and thingking of choosing xp pn artist 12 (budget based)
.
is there any other who have xp pen 12 artist who would like to share their experience regarding issues etc??

im looking for a bigger monitor and kamvas 13 is on the same budget, but.. my pen tablet is huion and unfortunately the pen and driver has issues (i think the pen is starting to died on me 😭)
.
so between these two, wdyt?
bcs it has to last 2-3 years or maybe more for me 😅
thanks for the video trent :) going for an ipad pro then :P
ОтветитьWhere did the intro music gone?
ОтветитьAfter watching your XP-Pen Artist 12 review a few years back, I decided to purchase it and I am totally happy with it. I did not even have to swap the pen tip yet (even though they sent several replacement tips with it, so I thought they would break fast). It is small but thus it fits perfectly on smaller desks in front of the monitor. Imo it is perfect for starters and hobbyists.
(The drivers act a bit weird from time to time though.)
Your work is so dope man like seriously
ОтветитьI have Samsung galaxy s8 plus tab....what programs are good to get as a start?
ОтветитьI can say from experience you want a drawing tablet before a monitor tablet. It does not get easier to "see" what you're drawing on. Paper medium does not transfer 1:1 to monitor tablet. I'd argue it transfers better to a drawing tablet.
Personally I've had a lot of cramps and frustration with a monitor tablet. The posture isn't great and it's more difficult to draw at the stand's angle with your arm and even worse when you use your wrist.
My current computer is 7 years old, and the screen is so dark I have to constantly screenshot and send it to my phone (Samsung) to see whats'up. I think buying and x-pen screen tablet could solve my problem, but man I am so used to drawing on my wacom intous5, I fear it will feel very weird drawing on a screen.
ОтветитьThank you Trent.
ОтветитьTo be honest, I am old school with drawing, and concept art started when I was 18 in the U.S. Army now at 55 I am doing digital art, a lot different but easy to erase mistakes still learning and still going back to the paper and pencil technique. I have started at the LA Film School In CA online for character design. but I like all of Trent's Videos the best tablet I have been using the Artist 12 Pro from XPen I use it for photo manipulation and other things on Photoshop and Illustrator. Thanks for the Videos Trent
Ответитьmr trent, how about krita (the free app)?
ОтветитьYes I’m watching this vid (like I wouldn’t have been drawing in digital for 7 years already.)
ОтветитьI bought a Huion 16 inch on a clearence sale where they were offering it 40% off. I got it in early January, havent had a single issue with it yet, really really satisfied with my purchase. It was 265 Euros, fully free shipping, absolutely no warranty though. That would have been extra money, but I didnt have any left for that so I'm just hoping it doesnt break :D
ОтветитьI can really recommend Huion. I think what they've been doing is great, much cheaper products to, almost, the same quality as Wacom.
ОтветитьNo using cheap android tablet+cheap capacitive stylus+ibis paint X?
I guess my taste is too third world country for this talk
you couldn't have made this at a better time. thank you very much. ^^
ОтветитьI have been watching your videos from 4-5years back and the video content quality has been consistent all these years .. 👍🏻 learning so much and being inspired. I've currently started doing digital painting and still very confused about the path I'm gonna be taking. Hope you will continue to make more inspiring videos and looking forward to it.
ОтветитьYou can also buy a samsung tab s 6 Lite or any more expensive model, buy super display on google store and have a screen drawing tablet for your pc, a portable drawing tablet and a normal tablet to do whatever tablets do.
ОтветитьI have been getting started since you created your channel 😂😂
ОтветитьI wouldn't say that I'm a beginner on digital art, but I won't say I'm a pro either. Like anybody, I'm learning new tips and tricks to help me improve my art as I progress. I started out small, surprisingly I began with a wacom 'Intuos', and then it was another company that I can't remember :P , until finally I purchased the XP-Pen 22. Money well spent, I use it for all my art needs to this day and I'm happy with it.
Trent, your advise comes in real handy when I'm at a stand-still with my artwork, you give me the motivation to keep going. PLUS your artwork is phenomenal ^_^
Had an XP Pen Artist 22HD once. I think it was just the 2nd gen of their display tablets, which meant the screen / pen were okay but nothing amazing. However, the major problem I had was the lack of support. They stopped updating the drivers after just 2 years and after another 2 it had problems working on windows, only hacks / workarounds preventing it from being just an expensive monitor. Which was why I got a cintiq next, since I know wacom products are supported for a very long time.
I don't know about the quality of newer non wacom drawing tablets and screens, or if their support got better. The risk of having to buy several of those devices while just getting a single wacom seems quite a bit higer still though. In that case the wacom might actually be cheaper or the difference not that much anymore, considering how expensive even non wacom products got. Of course one can also get unlucky with a wacom and it breaks just after a couple of years.
In 2020 I got baited by you, Mr.Kaniuga, to buy XP-Pen 24PRO. And you know what, I was never dissapointed, great stuff! Even though I still work traditionally more than digitally :)
ОтветитьI started with a 30$ non screen tablet with krita and switched to a huion kamvas 22 plus one week later.I also bought photoshop and I have to say it just motivates me much more to spend time with more expensive tools. Btw my art fundamentals didnt improve through the equipment
ОтветитьAlso thank you for this I really want to start digital and this helps out a lot 😁 love what you upload and how honest you seem especially with stories and examples. Your videos helped me a lot. If you can make a video on lighting and shading or video on coloring. I like the way you explain. Thanks again for what you share
ОтветитьIs it better to draw on pc with a tablet or on iPad? And what's the differences if anyone can answer.
Ответить
