you can train your betta fish to have mates, guppy is preferrable. Platys sometimes may do.

Thanks for sharing your craft. I've been out getting mud, soil, sand samples to start a dirted tank. Spent all afternoon getting aquatic plants from local ponds to try my first micro ecosystem tank.

What are your success rates wit the API tests? My first setup I bought it, and it said all my levels were great, so I added fish, and they died within a week, and checking into it, multiple people have said they give inaccurate results and my levels were probably bad, so it scared me from ever using API again.

You use that spray on plants too when you glue them? How long do you let the glue set before adding water when you get the plants glued in?

I have seen all these tanks with no lids. How do you keep fish from trying to jump out. Or snails from crawling out. How about bugs getting in. I have some ants that I am battling and I have seen them crawl on my tanks. So far they all have lids so not a lot have gotten in. Thought to be fair my fish would probably eat them. lol

Hey man, I was wondering - I've been trying to do a no filter plant tank, but I've been having issues with biofilm getting on the surface of the water and cutting off oxygen. How do you combat that?

A. How do you keep algae out? Is your plant nursery algae free before you even plant them in your new tank?
B. Do you inject Co2? Bubbling from the plant leaves always seem to be more probable for Co2 injected tanks..

Do you need to clean waste or plants absorb it?

Is thw san used normal beach sand or a special sand for aquarium

So I've got compost by accident instead of topsoil, it's got a layer of aquasoil ontop , shal I continue to the next steps or should I completely restart and use topsoil instead, what problems did you have using compost?
Also just seen that the compost had 'added nutrients ' will this be toxic to the fish?

I am sorry MD but personally think this is my least favorite build of yours to date, to me it just looks weird and unbalanced, I think it needed more Greens to make the red really pop. I understsnd the idea but not a thing I am inspired to do, but hey not my fish, not my tank and if you were happy and other viewers areminspired that is all that matters.
