Dimensity 1200 vs Snapdragon 870 vs Snapdragon 865 Benchmark Comparison

for me dimensity is best among all i have realme gt neo 2t so smooth j gaming performance thanks realme

Base on heat which one is best for gaming?

Medaitek are making great chips and the last good chip SD made was the 870.
I would prefer the 870 over 1200 due to gaming optimization but if for example medaitek puts money into gaming optimization, would not cost a fortune and sold 2 gens of their most powerful chip for at cost, they could take over the market.

The most powerful chip is the dimensity 9000 and medaitek should use the time it will take for SD to move back to TSMC from Samsung and come up with a good chip to make something that will blow SDs 1st and second 8 series chip after it moves back to TSMC with good game optimization and no overheating and throttling problems and they could become king.

Both comoanys want to get I to the computer market also.

If today I wanted a new phone I would get something like a poco F3 or realme neo GT.

More money than the K50 with the dimensity 9000

But the poco F3 is just so cheap for the specs you get its crazy. Plus you can customise it.

its all about the phone it self..i have xiaomi 1T and i compare another phone who using Snapdragon 870.. Mediatek 1200 ultra way better.. battery efficient and more way cooler..gaming experience Mediatek better..so its all about the futures in that phone it self

The Mediatek 1200 device (probably the OP Nord 2) already had a benchmark result in the beginning of the video, it was higher than the one we used in the comparison, and it also means it has already started throttling. Next time, please start all the devices from the scratch, clean up all background apps and the cache if possible.
I'm not by any mean trying to say the Mediatek 1200 could beat the Snapdragon 870, it just could be more fair.
Kudos to OnePlus for the bold move and the optimization on the Nord 2.

I prefer Snapdragon 870 because it has a liquid cooled and fastest ever and base on my experience because they are the same phone but better and also my phone is Dimensity 700 Redmi note 10 5g

Theoretically speaking 1200 should be faster in comparison to 870 ..1200 got much better processing cores .. but got poor optimization I guess... future software updates could solve this issue

Of course mediatek going to won this,they use more efficient core.780g probably can beat 1200 if it use same frequency,but Qualcomm is too dumb because they want to save costs.if 790g can't beat 2000,then they just fuck up in midrange segment

In short Qualcomm will become intel in the next few years…

Don’t forget Samsung, Apple and Google have their own chips… they will keep improving..

What's interesting is that Mediatek is really upping their game and catching up and actually on par with the performance level of Snapdragon's flagship SoC. Exynos on the other hand, is left to be desired. Let's see what Samsung will release next once they have finish the RDNA partnership with AMD. Hopefully, we will see it on the phones and a breakthrough finally in the gaming for Samsung.

The Mediatek Dimensity 1200 is unstable and the benchmarks are disappointing. It is easily bested in benchmarks by 4 generations of Qualcomm processors including the powerful 888, 870, 865+ and the 865. You have to go years back to the 855 to find a Qualcomm processor less powerful than the Dimensity 1200.

More troubling is the system instability created by Mediatek overclocking the 1200 in an attempt to hide the weakness of their processor. Mediatek processors are fine for budget phones but tech savvy customers demand a powerful Qualcomm processor
