It sucks that both Tosh.0 and Drunk History were canceled before their time. I miss them SO much. If this were Cartoon Network then I'd understand canceling live action shows but it just feels weird to have Comedy Central be animation only. Plus they show reruns of their live action shows anyways so...

he is getting cancelled because Tosh Is a Clip show and many Clip shows came out the back of the very controversial Mondo movement at the time where directors was making shock docs and faking most content for shock value to triumph there rivals. One of the most infamous and first was Faces of death and it was arranged as a clip show. I think the very first was "The Connection" Shirley Clarke which ironically also done the First found footage film too which Fredrik Wiseman worked on the controversial documentarian. I believe it was "Cool world" weirdly enough these films was was spun out of the old Avant Garde art movement which borders on surrealism and can be traced back to Salvador Dali and WW2. Stan Brakhage etc usually can be found on the controversial Criterion collection's and Artificial eye, Second run etc etc. That's why many of these Mondo movies depicted art like themes like Cannibal holocaust which was the biggest and dubious thought first found footage movie of its time and Mondo cane a dog's life was modelled on it and it was modelled on that and it was the first official Mondo movie. a sequel followed and the genre was born. it grew and grew and things like Snuff film, low budget horror etc merged with these movements and blurred the lines between them. Many films like Vomit gore had art house themes due to the merging and have been like it ever since. most art house was film noir and shot in B&W. Faces of death had massive Shockumentry pseudo art themes and was presented as a clip show in the 70s. after a series, Traces of death came and Faces of gore. many of these was from Italy which is no surprise as they done the first silent film we have today from 1911 Dante's inferno. they was one from Australia called "The story of the Kelly gang" 1906 as first feature film over 60 mins but it's lost. it taken the world a storm and Japan started presenting there's like Death File and Death Press. all this was really underground or unheard of until the internet happened apart from the odd film that was big enough it came surfacing. when the 90s came along the first shows we heard about was "Secret Home Video" and "Kenny Everett Video Show" both that prequelled You been framed. eventually we got more extreme ones like Eurotrash for Adults but these was always presented as TV shows and it's true roots was buried. we start seeing things like "Police camera action" "Caught on Camera" "Caught red handed" and of course "World's Wildest police videos" which masks as a TV show on cops side. it's only when the internet grows and the police become exposed we get to learn the ugly truth. we see eventually things like"Rude Tube" "Ridiculousness" and of course"Tosh 0" thanks to MTV. we see them mixed with prank shows like Jackass, Trigger Happy Tv and the Jamie Kennedy experience/experiment. The UK get Fonejacker, Bo Selecta and Little Britain. skit shows like Catherine Tate and Alastair McGowan Big Impression and even Alan Partridge also now help blur the lines. from shock docs like"Threads" to "Come fly with me" all have found a place on the web. more specifically minus the skits. nonetheless all these shows have become a victim of cancel culture and now we can see why. with Daniel tosh as a comedian it's obvious why they have cancelled him especially when he does controversial shows like Tosh that even a proud Adibou alien would be proud of. P.S yeah bring back The maths rabbit read, Adiboo, Sammy fun house and all the other great cd roms for kids and teens and young adults of the past....
