Honestly… kinda historically accurate considering how fucking terrifying the Ottomans were. The Byzantines had even considered just giving up on Constantinople and making the Peloponnese their power base. The city had Barely anyone living within in it and was crumbling apart

Ottomans were strongest nation back in 1444. This buffs are not that cruel imo.

My only problem with Ottomans is not their strenght, rather the fact that no one in Europe seems to worry when they completely annex Austria. Like, I get it: historically they reached Pest, but I don't think France or Spain would be so chill to see Muslim in fucking Wien.

As a long time Eastern Roman enjoyer, they should give Byzantium some buffs too. All I'm asking is improving the points of the starting rulers and maybe give Byzantium the chance to get the cannons before the Ottomans do (Orban offered his services to the Byzantines first, but they had no money so he went to the turks instead)

I'm actually glad it's a DLC and that I don't have to add it to my game. I don't want the strongest nations like the Ottomans and France to be even stronger. I want each campaign to be different, not dominated by the same few powers. I'm always glad when I see some minor nations growing powerful.

Ottomans was over powered in real life so they are going to make the game more realistic

nah it will be almost same i think cuz u always have to crush them in first 5 years so nothing will change for byz but others nations it will be a stroke

I think Ottos should be strong, and although there have been many cheesy ways to get them, I still think that if you don't hit them hard in the first 50 years they'll reach a point where it is unreasonable how strong they are for their dev. They had almost thrice my manpower when I played Oirat and had 11k dev vs their 2k it is insanse

I feel like Byzantium should be guaranteed independence by Venice and Genoa to halt the Ottomans from expansion into Europe for a extra couple of years before Ottomans feel ready to declare war on them.

it doesnt matter what DLC you throw at me paradox... my HRE vassal swarm will roll over them..

While the ottomans will be even more powerfull early game and most likely middle game, i think late game AI Ottomans will most likely be a giant with feet of clay just like they were historically.

May as well start the game in 1453 cause they'll definitely beat byz way before that date
