It is sad to see that shorts creators are't earning much money or even able to get into the monitisation program easily. I'd love to see a day where we no longer have to go by the restrictions of getting to a stage to be monetised like we had before 2018.

I dont know if its a silly question or not. But I want to know what if the channel is monetized through long videos, and now I just want to upload shorts. Can I earn with shorts?

Love your video and the channel, what about an education-based channel, any ideas of what type of shorts I can do? honestly, even with the help of AI, it still takes me 10-12 hours for 20 mins video, part of the reason may be my slow computer, i mean just the video, thats without any time counting for planning and research, . hardly have time left to create any shorts, tried a few, but didnt feel it.... love to know if there is a way to create shorts to promote my video.

I've only started my channel, it's coming from a 57k member group off Facebook but this shorts requirement has taken the wind right out of my sails. Now I'm going to have to go back to the drawing board and put a ton more work on my desk to qualify.

I got 0.06 on my shorts monetization but ever since I started posting shorts on my channel I've seen overall revenue drop by 40%. It's like my channel has a view quota per month and now that short videos are getting views my long form videos aren't and that hurting my earnings.

Dude. You use a free platform to earn your income. Stop whining about what you’re paid, or alternatively close this channel down and off you pop to an alternative platform.

This is why my plan is to run my channel with shorts to drive new engagement and long-form videos for the income potential- and because I can't shut up.

But, what I noticed is that part of the pay is from shorts ads, and I remember hearing them say that thy were gonna implement ads into shorts, but I haven't seen any ads in shorts so far, so maybe they'll slowly normalize them and then the pay will jump up from there

Im going through all my videos, and I had made all my shorts private. Somehow, theyre all monetized, and I cant unmonetize them.

Remember. If you're a musician. Stop using other peoples music. It's way easier to record your own and produce it for shorts.

So Shorts should primarily be used to drive traffic to a long-form version of the Short and get the money there?

We noticed a major fall in views right after the monetization program was launched too. Going to keep making the shorts though, making a gamble into the future.
