NEW Sony A90K 42 OLED! First impressions!

For the PS4pro?

I had the LG C2 48" for about a week then returned it and got the 48" version of the A90K.

do you prefer sony tv over LG OLED?

42" LG C2 $899 or Bravia XR A90K $1149? I will only be streaming sports, TV and Movies....no gaming.

Don't know why you like this stand so much. For that kind of money it should at least come with an adjustable stand like a computer monitor. Guess it's just opinion but I think the stand is crap and most people don't want it so low on a table.

Looks to close the the table, no room for soundbar under it.

I have a ps5 and the c2 tv I’m on the fence on keeping it or go with the a90k only for gaming

Will the a90k automatically setup the tv for the ps5 for 120hertz gaming or will I need to switch on certain settings

Please give me some advice about the settings, it seems to me that the picture is fast when they show movies and it's like some kind of glitch, please give me some advice from where and what to set.

Nice video! In my country tho, LG C2 costs 1000 euro and Sony A90K is 1500 euro! In my case its not justified the 500 euro you gotta pay for Sony model!

Semi Matte screen kills the purpose of an oled deep black color. Also, Matte screens depending on the angle, can make the light reflect more areas of the screen than glossy pin point reflecfion. There’s a reason apple uses all glass/glossy screens, colors just pop per Steve Jobs.

You didn't remove the glossy plastic screen protector off of the C2! I made the same mistake and was about to return it because there was a line down the center of the entire screen.

Mite aswell stick to my lg c1 55 till 2023 has lg am making there screen brighter love the look at the 42 inch models has that's all I need for my bedroom I like to game alot that's another reason I will stick with lg cus of nirvidia g sync not dissing sony they also make brilliant tvs but I'm more for lg bud

To me 4 HDMI 2.1 on the C2 is the biggest advantage between the 2.

Why did they skimp on the HDMI !!!
So basically once I connect a Sonos beam I only have 1 x hdmi 2.1 and for £1700 v A C2 with 4 x hdmi 2.1 for £970

Dude which one would you go with for productivity monitor ??

I got this exact model and size of TV at Best Buy, but I am having a lot of problems assembling the tabletop stand. The 2 different screws for the legs are confusing to me. Could you make an in depth video on the stand assembly?

This is one of the only few impressions of this TV @ this size and great that you also have the 42" C2 to compare with it down the line...I am considering these two as my gaming/productivity monitor/TV, subbed and looking forward to the full review and comparison

Great video. I have an LG c7 now for my main space, but I want a 42 either c2 or a90k for my office to use as a monitor for pc, ps5 and streaming. Operating system, number of inputs and input lag aside, strictly talking about picture quality and upscaling, which is better? And please go in depth or perhaps cover in your next comparison video. I'm torn between this and the C2 42 for pc gaming, the c2 42 has the older WBC channel and has freesync and g-sync and i think the a90k does not. What would you recommend?

Awesome TV but that matte finish would annoy me.

I have both a C2 42 and A90K 42 also. I found that the HDR brightness in games when hooked up to a PC is much lower on the A90K. I set the brightness to max on the A90K so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Have you noticed something similar?

The 42 inch SKU using LG WRGB OLED panel, only 55 and 65 inch SKU using Samsung QD-OLED. Honestly, I just get 48' Sony A9S or 55' Sony A80J, much cheaper than this one.

Do more reviews about the Matte Finish, that affect the pure blacks? looks grey? etc!

I have the 48 inch model and its been great for me. My only problem with it is the brightness and the consistency of it. ASBL is strong with this TV but HDR in a dark room can look really good. With it being a semi glossy screen, i don't have a problem with it. Details can still look clean af.

Can you compare how is playing Fifa on both TVs?
I just bought a LG C2 and had a Sony A90K. I found that fast motion is noticeablely more blurry on C2 compared to A90K.

A really big point of OLED is contrast and deep blacks so having a matte screen makes zero sense to me. Guess I just need to see it in person.

Hi, Does A90K become darker during coding?
I'm wondering if ABL won't bother me, since it cannot be disabled like on C2. (right?)

I've got 32GQ950-B. It's OK with coding, the size is way better than previous 27" monitor.
But not satisfied with dark scenes, and color (especially in HDR).

I'm now considering OLED, A90K or C2.
A90K is 1.6 times expensive in here Japan... but the premium build attracts me since it would feel nicer to have on my desk for everyday usage.

Not Premium at all when it's rocking a Matt Panel instead of a Glossy one. Shame on Sony for doing this. As a Sony Consumer I'm also dissapointed that its tvs don't even come with a film protector. Having this Matt finish gives a purple tint if windows are open. Anyways I would preffer the TV with a Glossy Panel instead just like the most expensive Sony Tvs...
