Using the attachments on the Dyson Supersonic™ professional hair dryer

My Dyson hair dryer stopped working after 2.5 years (yes, I cleaned the filter). I took it into a local Dyson repair shop and they won't fix it because I removed the tag (that was an eyesore) with the serial number on it. So I'm out $600. They said they could sell me another one for a discount....sign. I'll never buy a Dyson again. I expect better service out of a premium brand. It's clearly a Dyson product. Not sure why the serial number is critical. Apple will work on any Apple product without a serial number. Not to mention the frustration of a $600 hair dryer failing shortly after the warranty period.

This cut the drying time of my girlfriends hair in half (30 minutes down to 15). Plus she's super happy now.

I am hair stylist, a lot of clients told me about this, so, I went to dyson show room to try. Personally, I think it doesn’t worth the money, as home hairdryer may be. But for professional using is poor potency. Curling and straghting nozzles just do nothing for thicker hair. And the cord is short. I Only liked magnetic sistem to change nozzles. but for work still using a potent professional one.

Why does my dyson shut down

I'll be honest for the money Dyson charges, this dryer needs more work under the hood. As a professional, 1600 watts is laughable for in salon use. It should be at the very minimum 2000 watts. 2nd. the 2-year warranty is a joke. Mine broke in 2.6 years (as did many others who have Dyson) it wasn't covered under warranty and it couldn't even be serviced. The best parts about the dryer were the magnetic attachments and the way it felt in your hand.

Wifey having problems with dryer keep shutting off even after cleaning and switching filters after only 15-30 min of use and its only been 1 month, works great for her but this has happened twice already and she works at a high end salon, is it not built for such a work load? @dyson her HarryJosh blow dryer never had this problem and lasted 4 years, kinda disappointing cause the dryer drys so fast

It's visually esthetic but not sure it's really designed with my hair type in mind.

I ordered one for my wife in November. And they said it would take 2 days to ship.

Come December 15th and no Hairdryer.

I called them and they said it’s out of stock. And I said it wasn’t out of stock when I ordered it.

They said nothing they can do. Told me to just wait.
