Because of dividends, I first began investing in stocks. It's important, in my opinion, to be able to live off of dividends without selling if you invest and make other income in addition to payouts. It suggests that you may pass that down to your kids and give them a leg up in life. But if the price of the share was showing $58 plus dls and he only purchased $10 dls into that index fund how is that possible?? I thought you have to pay what the current price of the share is anybody know ??

Ok. So. I have a Roth IRA that I put 6200 or whatever the max is, I have a 401k that I put 6% in and I get matched.

Is there any advantage to getting index funds like this when I already get them with my Roth IRA from vanguard
