So not only do we not REALLY know the true identity of Red X,... they decided it was a good idea to FURTHER convolute the mystery and make 2 MORE unknown X-suit wearers that the writers refuse to ever reveal to us?! What a shitload of fuck lol

ngl this might not make a lot of sense at first but rewatching the show up to s3, i think red x could be terra after the events of the s2 finale. when you really think about it, she's if not the only person who knows titans tower top to bottom and knows the best way in and out then she's one of them. she bypassed the tower's security with no problem at all when she directed the attack on the tower. the biggest component of all this is terra learning the titans, strengths, weaknesses, and darkest secrets (including dick as red x). it also gave her multiple opportunities to learn dicks skills, realistically not even close to enough time to master "league of shadows" level combat like dick but then again its a plot driven cartoon show. as for the voice in the mask thats a pretty easy explanation, dick used a voice changer in the mask so the titans wouldn't recognize him in s1. it just took a lower pitch of his voice, hints why the second person in the mask still sounds like him (x has the same voice actor for both characters in the mask). i could be absolutely way off but its just a thought i've had for a while and it all adds up to me🤷‍♂

I much prefer the Jason Todd theory.

I believe the writer got screwed over but the editor, with future state and all the stuff that it showed with the titans and black Adam, it promised a world ending scenario, and he was forced to make that somehow happen but also prevent it from happening. It sucks cause you can tell he had a good idea with it all but was hands tied by the future state “future”. It also seems like he might have had big plans for red X with how much they promoted him during the new frontier stuff too

Honestly i was on board for the jason todd being red x theory but ive recently thought of the idea of why cant barbara gordon being red x? Why cant red x be a woman i mean it cant be any girl robin knows.

Keeping the identity of the true Red X from the show a secret is cool, but aren't you kinda dissing on him a bit by turning him into a cartoon villain who shows up and stabs his own pupil to be like "Haha I prank'd you Robin!" and then bounces. Like...the Red X I remember was a morally Gray character who was self-serving but never evil.

I remember Red ask once specifically stating that he was a thief not a murderer. So this seems out of character for him. Basically, I’m an asshole not a monster, and I think that needs to be remembered when writing X twos character.

I like the idea that Red X was a burner "training identity" for Jason Todd. Fairly soon after coming back from the dead, when he needed a secret identity he stole Dick's as a very subtle taunt just to see if anyone would connect the dots quickly.

I think the best thing they did with this Red X was the crossover with the Suicide Squad showing off his skills.
