They are such majestic animal . since kid i always felt fascinated by them,but i like to see them like this in a monitor.i would feel tot vulnerable in the water with any shark that eats meat.
I wish we treated animals like this so much better.

I'll say it's been to many people eaten by Great White Sharks for me to believe they don't like Humans.. look at the video with the guy in the plexiglass the Shark broke the Glass trying to get to that guy..

Does anyone know now that the Island & area is now closed off to cage diving, ("shark tourism") are scientific teams still permitted? Is there any protection against hunting these beautiful great whites? Esp for their fins? I know it falls under the Mexican territory but it's such a gift to the planet.

Cages really are disturbing for their sensory field...this is why they react like this....Many documentary makers had no aggression at all whilst being freely among great whites.

First thing that came to my mind when I saw that cage was "I bet one of those sharks could easily get into that cage if they really wanted it"

Some things wrong here... Sad to see this documentary sounds almost like a commercial for cage diving. Great Whites being hurt by cages is not that rare, there are tons of documented cases. Maybe some scars of the sharks shown here even come form cages? Also they CAN get seriously hurt... that blood loss can lead other sharks to become interested in the animal. They prey on sick and hurt animals that are weakened. Also if the gills are cut by the cage, the shark can bleed out and die (there's enough videos of this too). It's also dangerous for the people - the shark can only swim forward, so it will drive into the cage, biting and throwing itself around in panic. Cage diving is not in the best interest of sharks. It may bring tourism and money, but theres better ways. With most sharks diving free is no big deal. The second questionable thing is feeding the sharks. They are'nt just using blood and bait in a box, but they are actively feeding sharks for the spectacle. That screams adrenaline tourism. But it's generally considered a bad idea by many experts to combine the shark's experience of humans with real feeding. A fed animal is a dead animal, because it loses it's natural shyness and confronts humans more directly until something goes wrong. Sharks usually don't view humans as part of their natural prey, they are just curious about what we are. Learning to connect divers to a full belly might not be the best idea.

Where ever a white sharks are eating good the less dangerous they are. People tend to get attacked in places where white sharks don't have a lot of food like the lady in Argentina and also in places where visibility is low like the SF Bay and South Africa area. That's where most shark attacks happen

Some have promised to show one day the copulation of great whites, until now it is stlll a total mystery , their hunting behavior on the surface is well known , ok in deeper waters it is also a mystery, but copulation is much more interesting , scientists suppose a very aggressive, almost gruesome act triggered by much testosteron.

Really need to weld some more bars on your cages

I don’t understand the point of having cages with spaces that are wide enough for sharks to fit through. It makes no sense. The shark cannot swim backwards and it quite literally bleeds and dies from shredding it’s gills while attempting to escape. And these experts KNOW this. If you want to invade their space, the least you can do is minimize any risk to the shark. It pisses me off every time to see a powerful shark killed by a stupid diving cage. Get it together Nat Geo.

That is just stupid! Some people need to be taken out of the gene pool, and the great white sharks would be glad to do it. They are killing machines.
