Really a Perfect Remaster

I wish I picked it up on the switch. Is the switch version the same as the ps2?

Me gustaría ver que tal corren en diferencia Switch, PC, PS4 y XBOX ONE. Con todas las opciones al máximo (on) yo tengo una PC y lo juego en Steam pero mi PC no es tan potente, no lo puedo correr al máximo de fps (60) y activar oclusión hambrientas entre otras dos opciones mas.

Been playing this on the Switch and love the old school gameplay. The inst-save option makes it!

I was expecting a slightly more advanced remaster, with improvements to the character redesign and settings. But only NightDive Studios together with Acclaim Studios Teesside are bringing this game back to the molds of gameplay and improved graphics for 8th generation consoles is already worth it! But that deserved a remake or a more advanced remaster, it would be great! I'll be able to kill the nostalgia and play again this great classic from the 3D era of the 5th generation of consoles.

I have the N64 version of the game. And I'm sorry to say it, but the N64 version is so dark and ugly, it's super hard to play it on a modern TV. The PS1 and Dramcast versions look 10 times better on an HD TV with a upscaler box. I just downloaded the Xbox version. It blows the N64 out of the park.

I know Shadowman 2 wasn't well received but it's the only one I played and it's so nostalgic for me. Really hope they do the second games as well.

not much has changed for the remaster compared to 64?! .. i would have thought my vision got better suddenly and wouldn't need glasses lol

One thing I love about this remasters is the dynamic lightning with the more poligonal models. It just have so much charm.

I own the original PC version, and I'm debating buying the remaster or not. I kinda want the nostalgia of the original, crappy textures. But those improvements look pretty darn good

The new lightning also make dark areas to dark, this remaster is a glorified mod pack, this need a new engine like the new demon souls on ps5, otherwise it's usually worse, the classic version got way more spirit and soul, graphics don't matter. Also this game is very hard without a map I think they should had it for new players. The map was given is the box game when you purchased it.

Look like crap, half life fans did a better remaster mod than this, I was very excited but no I won´t even download it as a torrent.

Nightdive did a hellova job. This is one of the best examples of a remaster done right.

Shadowman was one of the few games I actually tried to 100% on the 64 back in the day other than OoT . Fucking love this game and hoped the franchise would be revived for years. Been messing around with this remaster for a couple of days and it is amazing. Big props to Nightdive. Those guys do excellent work.

You convinced me that it's a pretty significant visual improvement. I still thiny they should have added more polygons or at least did a better job of smoothening out the shape edges.

This. looks. spectacular. Glad there's an option to switch off the motion blur because I'm not really too big on that feature. The lighting is up to standard for most remasters, but it never fails to impress. I like the game's atmosphere already, but so much more detail has been added. I played the N64 version as a kid, and in it, you could see parts of the levels while in the menu. It really gave you a taste of this game's atmosphere and what it would be like. It's similar to the flyby in Unreal but with more variety. I am really pleased that it's in this remaster.

The sky MUST be fixed. Clouds flowing backwards? Unacceptable. Also, too saturated and too red. A sky that is too bright/saturated will make you tired to look at.

Overall looks like a great job. You made a poor argument though. When people compare their beloved old games with remasters/remakes, 9 times out of 10 they are not working off memories. People who really love their games replay them every year. They do not "remember" how levels looked like, they KNOW how it looks like. It's possible they played the game 5 hours ago.

I appreciat the remaster and will buy it. Hopefully someone can see potential and give this a full remake or a new shadowman game.

I really miss games like these who had they're own unique graphical characteristics, back when not every game ran on the same game engine

Wow, it looks great! I think Nightdive did themselves a disservice by showing footage before they'd reworked the textures. When is it coming to consoles?

Hey mate, Tim Haywood shared your video in the Shadow Man Facebook group. Just letting you know in case you aren't on there. Also wanted to let you know; the devs are working on patching the game to include a lock-on key like the console versions had.

On the contrary the last shot is where I think we can see some drawbacks of the HD textures, in this case they are too bright and make the spines blend too much with the floor

Fantastic remaster. This game is legendary and one of my top favorites of old games. :)
