In 2017/18, our team delivered a record number of MP medical incinerators across Punjab, Pakistan, significantly improving waste management for hospitals and health centers. By 2023, with continued population growth and increased healthcare needs, the Punjab government and our partner, Vertex Medical, approached us again to expand facilities with two new incinerators.

Punjab, with a population of 127.7 million, faces substantial challenges in managing hazardous medical waste, especially in remote areas. Despite previous installations, more work was needed to ensure sustainable waste disposal. Before 2018, the province struggled with waste management, but our collaboration with Vertex and government support addressed these issues.

The new project aims to prevent the reemergence of past problems. Key issues include the lack of infrastructure, leading to improper waste disposal methods like local dumping or burning. The new C200 high-throughput incinerators will safely dispose of waste on-site and from nearby health centers, mitigating community hazards.

Success depends on awareness and training for local healthcare workers about the benefits of new incinerators and the risks of outdated methods. Our installations include venturi flu gas scrubbing systems, which clean emissions and protect the environment, unlike open burning.
