I'm in Orange County Texas and they do weekends here as well. I wish they would bring back her crew of PDS... loved that whole cast.

I call bullshit! I've never had a DUI or any kind of criminal charges but I lost my license for old tickets and driving on a suspended and the judge wanted to lock me up. She actually said I was no better than the drunk driver in court that day

Louisiana mostly does weekends for minor offenses or people at the end of their sentences or even work release. Its pretty common

In my opinion she should be held accountable to the highest degree this is her 3rd dui and i dont have much hope that this wont be her last. That is a slap on the hand. If it’s the third time she is not getting it. She could be a great girl but she’s going to kill not only herself but more than likely some innocent person .

Party down south was wild. It was basically floribama shore about 5 years earlier. It was a good watch.

Matties career on tv has mostly been about drinking large quantities.

Here in Michigan the guidelines are 45 days second offense 1 year 3rd offense, I’m not sure what the guidelines are where this happened but they surely need to be re-evaluated 😡

We were on an episode of party down south! We took them “ghost hunting” in Savannah! That sucks about her struggles! They were really rad peeps!

She is such a sweet person and i absolutely love her but she really does need rehab.

This gal is only 29. So 8 years of being allowed to drink and she's racked up 3 DUI's, shameful. Sorry I have no sympathy for people who put others lives at risk just to catch a buzz. Her license should be revoked and instead of jail she should be forced to attend some sort of treatment facility for her alcohol addiction. 7 days of jail is a slap in the face to every single person whose lost a loved one to drunk driving. Weekends in jail will do absolutely nothing to prevent a repeat offense. Take her license and mandate a year of breathalyzer testing. If she makes it a year then maybe she took it seriously and really got the help and wake up call she needed. 7 days on a 3rd offense, smh! What a joke.

Good Evening, Leslie! I hope Mattie is receiving the help she needs to prevent this in the future moving forward. It would be a shame for her to waste her life down that road since it sounds like she has many positive activities she pursues.
It sounds like the show she was on was a reality show. My observation of most reality shows that I have watched besides Teen Mom is that the network/producers provide a lot of alcohol to enhance behavior one may not do if sober, believing this brings in more viewers. I wish her the best on her path into the future!

There's absolutely privilege being abused here, 3rd dui!??. I live in VA Beach and there was a reality star that killed a navy man from going down the wrong way on the interstate not too long ago. Theres two major roads that run east and west bound at the shore, they are both ONE ways. East bound takes you to the shore, she went east into oncoming traffic instead of west outflow. It was a devastating accident the man was killed on impact. He was going to pick up his wife and her friends after celebrating her birthday. The reality star was plastered beyond belief, shes currently serving 15 years if I'm not mistaken. Its sad that it may be too late for Maddie or someone eles by the time anything is taken seriously. Privilege is never good when it is used to a fault. Maddie is 100% wrong and its no accident when it keeps happening. Why would she change her ways when there is no lesson to learn?

@LeslieBass If you can find Party Down South you should watch it. They had 3 or 4 seasons (maybe more) & the first one was filmed right down the road from me on the South Carolina coast . Several of the cast mementos are from Louisiana on PDS. I think you woudl love the show. I certainly did & hate that they ended it.

Weekends in jail are pretty common where I'm from in Maryland. I know plenty of people who did weekend sentences which really didn't curb the issues most of the time. I now live in South Carolina and haven't heard anyone talk about serving weekend sentences yet..

Disappointing... Ughhh. Save a life (including yours) and obtain a Designated Driver before drinking. Its called adulting.

Not about giving this girl any credit i dont know her and tbh I'm glad I dont know or support her people like her should be in jail with no licence its always a choice to drive drunk and to say my friend gave me hydrocodone are we for real ?!?! She was swerving lanes ?!?! People like her yes she may be beautiful but if she killed ur kid u wouldnt say that or follow her 🤷‍♀️ beauty isnt a pass to drive under the influence and risk other peoples lives

I dont really think its special treatment here in my neck of the woods When its the 3rd one. DL gets suspended and its a 5 or 7 day sentence, and fines. Sometimes depending on the situation then they might give you an interlock after your 1yr is up.

So sad, I love her.

I like Mattie. But I'm sorry but if you get 3 DUIs you deserve a year in jail. I spent almost a year in a wheelchair because a drunk driver hit me head on on the interstate. Like I said, I really like her but I have no sympathy for her on this.

That is a pretty standard sentence, especially when someone has a job, has dependents and the jail is at capacity (most are). Of course, being white & pretty with a good defense attorney doesn't hurt.

Yes, in arizona if you have a job they let you serve your time on the weekend if the total amount of days is less then two months. And if you have less then a year to serve and you have a job, they let you leave for work and come back. but not everyone with a job has this opportunity. If it's a serious crime like child sex crimes and aggravated assault they won't allow an inmate to leave.

Celebrities absolutely get off way easier! If this was me I would of been in jail for sure and definitely would of gotten way more time! I love Mattie but this is dangerous not only to herself but to anyone around her. I’ll pray for you baby girl 🙏🏻💜

They should require breathalyzers at first dui it won't stop all but it would save lives.

I live in Nashville (Davidson county) I only had 1 DUI and I did 3 days in jail, a year probation, 2 DUI classes and lost my license for 1 year so considering this is her 3rd I would say yes (special treatment) for sure

I love Maddie. But hell no, I ain't got no respect for those who drive under the influence. It becomes everyone's business, because our loved ones could be out there. But hopefully she really is doing good, and NEVER does that crap again.

In Kentucky you are able to turn yourself in on Friday and leave on Sunday for dui.
