I use the creative grids version of the folded corner ruler. Thoroughly recommend, I'm a beginner quilter & it works very well every time
ОтветитьI use the needle threader. I used to have perfect vision, but as I have gotten older, it's harder to quickly thread needles for binding or other hand sewing. Very frustrating... This threader has held up better than some others I've tried and works well so far.
ОтветитьI’ve used and liked the slotted trimmers and the Dritz turner which works great! Also, have the needle threader but use it mostly for the cutter. I’ve used other photo fabric but not that one. The photos turn out well but don’t last well if laundered a lot. I. Now do sublimation photo printing on 100% poly, which washes great and photos stay crisp.
ОтветитьI use freezer paper for my hexis in EPP.
ОтветитьThe desk needle threader does not work. I have arthritis and it was a gift
ОтветитьI love my simple folded corners ruler. It improved the accuracy of snowball blocks. Just tried the appliqué paper. I think I’m going to really like not having to remove the papers.
ОтветитьFirst time to see your channel, Mary. Thanks for the ideas. I look forward to your demos. Thanks also to everyone who offered useful comments. I don’t own even one of the products. I do love my Bloc-Loc for HSTs.
ОтветитьI have two sizes of the simply folded corners. It works wonderful!
ОтветитьI have the turning tubes. Once you figure them out they are good. The price is affordable. Yes I would get again
ОтветитьI use the Appliqué Paper all the time for lots of different applications. A great Aussie product!
ОтветитьI use the Dritz turner. I love it!!!! It’s easy to use and easy to store. I bought it because I was making some cloth animals to add to an activity quilt for a grandbaby. I was able to turn legs, tails, etc. with great ease. I’ve since used it for many other projects.
ОтветитьI have the log cabin 8” and the log cabin curve 8” rulers and love them!
ОтветитьI have this also but didn’t try it as quilt as you go.
ОтветитьI have the needle threader and it is temperamental but it works once you get used to it.
ОтветитьI prefer the Omnigrid products
ОтветитьI’ve used a tube turner and loved it. I also use the desk needle threader; I love it - can’t do without it.
ОтветитьI use the add an eighth ruler for paper piecing small blocks. I made some small blocks using a Carol Doak book. Loved it. Helped made my blocks have less fabric in it and made them lay flat.
ОтветитьCan’t wait to see demos!
ОтветитьAppliqué paper is fabulous- they also do laser cut hexagons in a range of sizes which I find great to use. Iron them on to your fabric then cut out allowing for seam allowance
ОтветитьI just found this video, and I’m excited, some of these things I’ve been curious about myself. One of the items I also have, but have not yet used, but not because I forgot about it but I haven’t had anything I’ve had to turn. I will definitely be hunting out the videos where you use each of these items. Thank you.
ОтветитьI use the needle threader the tube turner often. Also used something similar to the heat and bond vinyl it works but can get messy, I’ve got photo fabric but not used it, I also have an add a1/4 ruler which is a very useful product never seen an add an1/8th,. It seems I love a gadget lol, but the ones I’ve bought like yours do work for me, can’t wait to see your reaction to them . Thanks for the video enjoyed it.
ОтветитьI have the desktop needle threader, and I love it. I do a lot of hand stitching and quilting and embroidery. It saves me a lot of time and aggravation that comes with threading lots of small eye needles. I also like that it has a thread cutter on it, too.
ОтветитьI LOVE Creative Grids rulers. That said however, I think the log cabin ruler is for beginner quilters. Not sure about the cat’s cradle ruler. Don’t think I’ve used it although I have it. I tend to be very conservative. I hate wasting fabric. I feel there’s a lot of waste cutting off all the fabric using the log cabin ruler when making a quilt. I feel that if you measure twice, cut once and don’t iron the pieces to death, you can make a log cabin square without all the waste. Just my opinion. Probably others don’t agree with me.
ОтветитьThe add an 1/8” ruler is actually designed for paper piecing to ise on 🎉he very small pieces in the design. I think directions are on the package. Works great!
Thanks for your list and comments- some of these are new to me and I might try them after you do!
I have not taken my desk needle threader out of the package! Looking forward to tutorials. Put in sponsor links so you can benefit from our purchases. I’ve wanted to get a slotted trimmer & fussy cutter template.
ОтветитьI have used the photo fabric. It is very easy to use. It works just as promised. The pictures come out a little fuzzy. I'm not sure if that's my printer or because it's fabric and not paper or a combination of the 2. I wouldn't call it professional quality like what you get with companies but for a "made with love" project it is quite acceptable.
ОтветитьCan’t wait to c u trying these 10 products u purchased
ОтветитьAgree with the skill level of me compared to the face to face demo 😊
ОтветитьThe Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmer is amazing. Makes that dreaded ‘squaring up’ duty less daunting. Best part is you square the HST before you iron - AWESOME!!
ОтветитьThe Tube Turner are a game changer in bag making, mine are from a different company but are looking the same. I am making many ByAnnie bags and can’t live without them.
ОтветитьI bought fast tùrners 30 years that were metal tubes and a wire with a curl at the end to grab the fabric. I use them a lot, but I saw shorter ones with plastic tubes and wooden sticks to push with and thought they would be good for smaller projects. Unfortunately, I found them a little frustrating after using the ones with the hook.
I have also used the photo paper for years and like it.
The desky needle tgread3r is fabulous I have used oil for almost20(?) Years.
ОтветитьHave used Folded Corner ruler it works well, but I prefer Studio 180 Corner Pop….works great. I am a bit of a ruler freak, love using rulers of all kinds.
ОтветитьHave the Log Cabin ruler…great tool, I have the pineapple tool as well.
ОтветитьClearly Perfect Slotted trimmer is a wonderful tool….i have it in 4 different measurement. It works great.
ОтветитьI've not used the tube turner you showed but I really like the Fasturn Tool.
ОтветитьSlotted trimmer is great!!
ОтветитьHi, new, can you tell me where I can get the pattern and name of the quilt I this background. I love it.
ОтветитьGreat way to set resolutions for the new year! Look forward to your demos.
ОтветитьI absolutely LOVE the Creative Grids version of the Folded Corner trimmer created by Susan North ( think that's her name). I prefer that to the Doug Leko version as it is simple and has the CG grip on the reverse. I use it all the time so no more drawing lines when I'm just creating 1 hst from a square or doing snowball corners. I couldn't be without the CG version .
ОтветитьI love the slotted trimmer, more efficient.
ОтветитьI’ve used the Add 1/8 for FPP miniatures or very small blocks. I love it and I use DecoBob for the top thread and bobbin. I’ve had the needle threader since the 1990s and still use, very useful now that I’m in my 60s, but always used.
ОтветитьI see Creative Grids is made in the USA. YES! I'll be paying them more attention.
ОтветитьI have the Quick Turn and use it all the time. Its useful for shapes other than tubes, like the arms and legs of stuffed toys. You don't have to stuff the whole thing-to-be-turned down the tube.
ОтветитьLove clover desk needle threader, I use size 11 milliners needles and just couldn't thread them until I bought my clover desk needle threader
I bought the small log cabin block really to use up scraps, I have only used it a few times.
I love the clover soft touch thread pick.
I love the Clearly Slotted Trimmer ! I make a lot of half square triangles. It’s awesome!
ОтветитьBe aware: the liquid vinyl product (or any liquid waterproofing agent) contains PFAS chemicals, or “forever chemicals.” These are dangerous to the environment and human health. ❤
ОтветитьWould love to see the results of the needle threader and photo fabric. Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing. Interested in seeing your results.❤️
ОтветитьThe needle threader is a must. I also use the thread cutter included with the threader to cut between chain pieced blocks. Hope this makes sense
