Spend all your runes to level up an if u cant buy any more levels go buy different items from merchants or stuff u havent bought yet or items your able to buy tons

Sadly, Elden Ring is my first From game and I am struggling with the combat or the fluidity of the combat and after loving Lies of P so much I can't seem to get my rhythm with the flow of rolling and attacking so I say thanks for this video.

Never knew what those armless statues were that I kept seeing everywhere. I'm only level 23 and I'm trying not to "internet" too much for this game and just ride out for a bit. I've already been sucked through a treasure chest to some rock miner cave, beat some weird dog statue thing. Killed some dude on accident but he dropped some awesome armor set now I'm at the roundtable. This game is nuts and I have no idea wtf I'm suppose to be doing except following golden grace.

The more you play Elden ring, the more you realise the level of genius that went into this game. One of the reasons I feel people die a lot in this game is also because certain characters like rats or dogs or mini skeletons which are traditionally not seen as powerful adversaries which can literally kill your character is actually overpowered in Elden ring. Which creates that surprise and frustrating element in the game.

Pro tip: Fighting on horseback makes some easier 10x easier

Zelda orcina of time taught me about stamina control, never eat the last carrot. It might come in handy.

Always be on the lookout for scenes in which two enemy groups are fighting one another, since the game seems to think it is YOU killing them and you will get their runes when they die. I first noticed this when I came across some soldiers fighting goblins early in the game. Then again when a huge giant, spawned after I got onto a particular road, went after a group of soldiers. In Calead at the impossible bridge, it's possible to trigger a battle between T rex dogs and soldiers, then run up to the farther off cliff from the watch tower and simply take in runes from the battle below. Then run to the state of grace to respawn and start all over again. It's how I'm leveling up without having to do combat.

I started Elden Ring not too long ago, and I have to say that I'm not enjoying it. I feel like I have to force myself to turn on my PS5 to resume this game. I really hope it gets better soon.

I came back to this video after it helped me to get started with Elden Ring last year. I had never played a Fromsoft game before, didn't know anything about the Souls games and never even played a RPG with a leveling system... So I was quite overwhelmed. But you really helped me out with these videos. And Elden Ring became one of my favorite games of all time... I fell in love with the lore and the environmental storytelling, all of which I would never have experienced without them So thank you so much, Aoife, you have opened up this world for me! 💚💚💚

For anyone who is commited to a hack n slash tank play style it actually can be done. Focus on vigor strength and end. My confessor is a tank, and even at a low level i killed margit literally toe to toe, only blocking during combo chains

As far as Lock-on, I find that a good general rule of thumb is if the enemy is so large that they don't fit into your screen when you are at attacking range, it's best not to lock on.
Also, just about never lock on when on horseback, it just makes it harder to line up those "jousting" style hits.

I like that the first sentence is "dying is not a punishment," and the next sentence is "when you die, you lose all or your runes," and all enemies respawn. So that definitely acts as a "punishment." It's a distinct disadvantage because of dying.

Is there more moves like in sekiro, or its mostly like ds 123, dodging, blocking, parry, fast or strong attack?

Damn y’all I’ve had this game for 3 months now 6 hours in and every time I watch one of these videos it makes me wanna play the game even less. I think it looks cool and beautifully intricate but just too many systems and I don’t like the combat at all. I’m trying so hard to like the game but damn man this game just breaks me like no other. I don’t know if I’ll ever beat it

Ash of wars still don’t make sense to me. I try them but nothing works on my sword and I think it says my damage went down.

Reading the comments 90 percent of people have never played a souls game before. Elden ring is original dark souls 1 on easy mode.

The problem is the horrible input delay.It's the same as it was with Bloodborne.
You see an opening and press the attack button. But instead of landing a hit, nothing happens. ... then, after a while, your character begins his slow attack animation, and then at the very end, you could land the attack . Except, you won't. Because you are completely locked in during all this. The game practically turns off your controls until the animation is concluded.
In the meantime, the enemy will move aside or attack you.

The whole "greed" thing is a huge balancing act. I think Bloodborne in particular incentivises players to be attacking with being able to regain health after being hit. Elden Ring does the same in a way because if you're not pressing the enemy enough theyre refilling their stamina bars or super armor and making things longer and/or more difficult. It's a balance. But it's like tennis, most of my deaths are unforced errors.

Since these are beginners tips it might've been a good idea not to show so much of the later game content / bosses 🫠
