My understanding so far is that the film will begin with Madonna losing her mother as a child, then follow her arrival in NYC in the very late 1970s, and then primarily focus on her early struggles as a dancer, musician, and woman throughout the entire 1980s. The film is rumored to end with her releasing her hit Vogue single and kicking off the Blond Ambition Tour, which sent her into Superstardom. This, of course, is all speculation and allegedly. But I can be ok with this decade timeline.

Let me preface what I am about to write with this; I realize that Madonna has certainly earned the right, at this point in her life, to do whatever she wants in her career. I understand and respect that. That being said, am I the only one just not interested in this project?

I just feel like she has devoted too much time to this & let's face it, her mark & impact is in music. Not acting or directing. Yes, she is allowed to creatively venture into new territories, but I just feel this is going to be a lot of effort, time and money & ultimately it is not going to win the praises she hopes for, it is not going to have the impact she hopes it will.
I also don't think Julia Garner is the right choice. I also think "Who's that girl" is a terrible title. It is a title for a Madonna movie already. Sorry to be so negative but I am just being honest with my thoughts.

I think she should come up with a new & original title. I don't think she should simply use one of her song titles. It an interesting reference but it is too expected. It is more creative to come up with something new. I wish she would just focus on creating a new album.

Her life is so hard to put in a two or three hour movie. She needs to do a Netflix series like the Crown. There are so many layers to her life/career.
