How to Make Continuous Bias Tape (Bias Binding)

I have always made it this way, but as a point of safety, you should always cut away from you when using a rotary cutter.

Please do not pull a rotary cutter toward you. It is much safer to roll the blade away from you.

What is the size of square you start with?

Absolutely fantastic tutorial! I just made enough bias tape from a 18" x 18" quarter square to make a dress for my Fiancée. (Second project ever). I made just enough tape using this awesome method and it was so quick! Thank you!

Well that was more of the same. There are umpteen videos showing how to do this. But not a single one that I can find that DEMONSTRATES HOW to calculate the size square needed to make the amount of bias needed.
Lots of people GIVE the formula. That means NOTHING to me. I would love it so much if someone anyone SHOWED me HOW to calculate it
I have dyscalculia so telling me numbers is the same as giving me a book to read in ancient script. I won’t understand it. Tell me a hundred times. I won’t understand it a hundred times. SHOW me HOW and I’ll get it.

This was a very clear video, but when I sew that last seam together, my lines are offset by 1/4”.
