For oil and grease stains I literally use shampoo or washing up liquid as that is built for removing grease

Maybe I've just been lucky, but I've never separated out darks and lights, and never had a problem with bleeding. I'ma just breathe a heavy sigh of relief that I don't have to do 90 loads of laundry from all my house members by separating.

I do my laundry on Sunday. I do one load and sometimes I do two loads a week. As soon as I wake up, clothes go in the washer. Before putting clothes in my hamper, I always sort, turn inside out etx so that i dont waste time to put clothes in the washer. I simultaneously start my day, do other things around the house ( there is always something to do 😅) and then when everything is done, immediately fold and put it away. I prefer silence to fold my clothes and put them away. I love doing the laundry and washing dishes by hand they are the most mind numbing activities to do where my brain can rest from the mile a minute thoughts.

I prefer to not do laundry for 3 weeks and then have to do ten loads in one day. Then I have no energy to fold and put away so I just pull everything out of the baskets for the next 3 weeks and repeat the process 🥰

Wondering what tumble dry means. I thought it meant tumble dry… On my dryer and all of the ones I’ve ever owned. There is a heat setting of no heat, low, medium, high and sanitize. I always assume that tumble dry meant no heat or maybe LO because sometimes it says tumble dry low, but I’ve recently read directions for tumble, dry medium or even double dry high heat?! Isnt that just using the dryer on medium or high 😂??

I’m sorry. Nobody ever taught me how to do laundry. I started doing it myself when I was a child because my clothes smelled dirty. Also, wondering how to get a blood stain or any kind of stain really out of a piece of clothing that is colored, so how do you do that… With bleach? I hate stains… They are my enemy… I will never put anything into the dryer without checking for stains first after I already checked them pre-wash lol but my husband put some stuff in the dryer the other day and didn’t read the tags and A few shirts didn’t make it unfortunately. I’m trying to revive them. Right now they are soaking with OxiClean and I have been going at them with a stain remover and a brush any other tips? I don’t have a ton of clothes, so this is kind of like money and memories down the drain lol quite literally.

Last question would be what about a stain, let’s just say a blood stain on a piece of clothing with multiple colors?

I lied. One more question. Why two shirts of different colors sometimes get colors on each other when they’ve already been washed multiple times before and they’re not very bright colors? Is it my washing machine possibly? I’m literally about to buy a new one although I have like -$750. 😂😂

Lastly, if anyone else is like me and tired of following the delicate directions to wash separately alone in cold water, and to hang dry for every single piece of clothing, you own, do not buy from Skims!!! Honestly, I gotta say their underwear is really soft, but Victoria’s Secret is just as good and it doesn’t rip the first time you put it in the washing machine on hand wash/delicate when the direction so you can wash it is normal… It happened also with all of the clothes I’ve gotten from that company. I will not be re-purchasing and I’m not very happy with the quality of the clothes. It seems like they were made very very cheaply. It’s a shame because some of the bras and underwear are very cute. So sorry for any typos I am watching my best friends Four-year-old lol

My problem is that I have about 77 “cycle Xs”. I don’t really have nice clothes at least not a lot of super nice clothes, however, I did have to purchase a lot of clothes over the past few years because they lost quite a lot of weight and absolutely nothing fit me that I owned. Now most of these clothes, although cheap, made a lot to me, some of them were gifts. I don’t want to mess them up, but I’m wondering why so many different tag say wash separately in cold water by itself… Sometimes… Sometimes if you’re lucky it says with light colors and so I’m finding myself washing and then hanging dry or tumble drying so many of these loads! I even have pillowcases that were seven dollars and a blanket that has these directions. It is making my laundry gets so backed up and I’m getting so stressed out when I used to always love doing my laundry.

Has anyone else noticed this? I’m talking clothes from target close from cheap online stores like maybe white fox on sale or stuff on sale from SHEIN. I don’t think I’ve ever paid more than $15 for a shirt but I digress…

Don't forget, you should never close your washer's door immediately after using it because it will grow mold. You should leave it open until it has had time to dry, and the same goes for the slider you put the detergent in. Let both dry over night.

after washing by hand or even in the machine my clothes got so hard and completely destroyed, they feel like card board. how do I avoid this?

Just a tip, you could put some vinegar in your washing machine where the liquid fabric softener goes. I’ve been doing that for years. It deodorizes and softens clothes (so your clothes will have less wrinkles while air drying). I’ll also sprinkle a little BORAX in my wash, too, especially with my husband’s laundry, because he works outside all day and his clothes need extra TLC. I don’t use fabric softener, but I never have wrinkled clothes. This is a life saver for those like me who refuse to iron anything, lol! I still use detergent, but the way, the Borax and vinegar are just helpful natural boosters for cleaning laundry.
