I totally understand the attraction of these lovely expressive creatures. But, captivity is not in their best interest.......it is most important as the narration stated keeping an animal as a pet has many drawbacks. It is so important for the individuals who have been poached or rehomed due to owners death or any number of other reasons, that there are places set up to care for them the rest of their lives. Lifetime care of those taken from the wild or bred for the pet trade to have places set up for them. I believe the pet ownership should be restricted in all states. When you take into consideration the numbers of cats and dogs euthanized in this country, it would be a more responsible behavior to adopt them as pets and stop all exotic creatures seen as pets. Primates and tropical birds have long life spans,many out living their adopted owners. People need to act in a responsible manner and stop the procuring vanity pets.
