Note this is a video recording of an online meeting conducted using the Zoom.us platform. Inevitably such recordings suffer a little in terms of their production values because of the internet connectivity and quality of webcams. Despite that, they allow us to provide additional valuable insights in to the MedComms business and we can involve a wider range of speakers who can participate from the comfort of their own desks, wherever in the world they are.
As a trainer in scientific communications, John Dixon has considerable experience in delivering face-to-face workshops to medical writers and doctoral students in universities, research institutes, medical communications agencies and for the European Medical Writers Association (EMWA). John also developed the unique FirstMedCommsJob workshops for aspiring medical writers. Recently, he has adapted his workshops for virtual delivery. John will share his experiences and practical tips. How different is virtual from face-to-face delivery? Can participants still interact effectively? Do you need a co-host to help you out? How long can participants sit in front of a screen without a break? Does it work? And we answer questions from the audience.
It should be of interest to anyone working in and around MedComms and, in particular, the managers and others who are responsible for training within agencies.
Recorded 03 June 2020 as a MedComms Networking webinar. Produced by NetworkPharma.tv
