Go after criminals. Criminals comply to gun laws. Only law abiding citizens who try and protect their family from criminals with illegal firearms. Please dont make it harder for legal gun owners to protect their families.

These laws are so dumb. If someone really did want to make their weapons more efficent at killing, they can go right to another state to purchase all the other parts they need without a background check. Only the reciever on these ARs are serialized. Every other part except that metal is off the shelf.

All bans on Semi-Automatic rifles or so called ‘Assault Rifles’ (like the AR-15) and Semi-Automatic pistols (like the Colt 1911) will in all likelihood be ruled UNCONSTITUTIONAL by the United States Supreme Court under the common use standard. The Supreme Court ruled that an arm has to be BOTH dangerous AND unusual for them to be banned, given that there are 20,000,000+ AR-15s in the United States, they are in common use, therefore they are anything but unusual...

In multiple Supreme Court cases (District of Columbia v. Heller [2008], Caetano v. Massachusetts [2016], and New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen [2022]) the Supreme Court ruled that an arm has to be BOTH dangerous AND unusual for them to be banned, given that there are 20,000,000+ AR-15s in the United States, they are in common use, therefore they are anything but unusual...

In this context, unusual is not in common use for lawful purposes (like hunting, target shooting, and self defense)

District of Columbia v. Heller [2008] established the common use standard for ALL FORMS OF ARMS in a case regarding pistol ownership.

Caetano v. Massachusetts [2016] reaffirmed the common use standard, and clarified that it applied to ALL FORMS OF ARMS in a case regarding taser ownership.

New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen [2022] reaffirmed the common use standard for ALL FORMS OF ARMS in a case regarding the RIGHT to bear arms outside of the home.

The argument at the end makes no sense. The issue was never that the bullet goes “fast.” By definition you can get higher muzzle velocity from a bolt action rifle than a semi-automatic because none of the gas is lost to support the action of the weapon. All of these “tweaks” seem really annoying and add to reasons never to live in California.

If we ban everything criminals use we will have nothing left. This report is the perfect example of preying on people's fears by introducing biased information and bending facts to satisfy an agenda.

A pistol grip does nothing to make the gun more dangerous as a disabled person. It's the only way I can use one safely.

Politicians want to ban certain firearms which they themselves are being protected with. I guess their safety is more important than the people they serve.

Gun control is unconstitutional

I still don't see how California is allowed to violate their citizens 2nd amendment rights. Lawmakers don't have the right to ignore the constitution and need to be held personally accountable when they intentionally violate citizen rights.

This is pure propaganda and pure B.S. Gun makers don't tweak rifles to get around the Assault Weapon Ban. They build rifles to ensure they are in STRICT compliance with the law. It's astounding...the left makes all kinds of silly rules with respect to semi automatic rifles and then they get mad when rifle makers follow those laws to the letter.

If the California people go thru this legislation and find what the politicians had missed in order to keep and bear the arms that the Constitutions allow the people to have and force the politicians one more time to disobey the very order in the same Amendment . The politicians and their media will rebel against the orders of the Constitution and blame the American people as the rebels.
